  1. I uninstalled it, it takes too much time anyway and I currently have a full-time contract hence not a viable option of a game to play with the bros after work. I've been playing it since the beta and I can safely say it was more fun back when it had a few dozen bugs and crappier graphics maybe it's just nostalgia.
  2. That would be very inconvenient and besides, I got rid of it. It had a 1080 and a ryzen 5 2600. R I P
  3. IG i just won't bother with Rust then, i swapped to a laptop for university since i won't be able to take my Desktop abroad. I'll run it at 2.6 ;( will give me greater ease knowing that my CPU is not hitting the 100 mark.
  4. Hello again guys, do you know if it's possible to somehow configure the turbo boost to a max frequency that it can boost to or atleast not to this severity that it kicks up to? That way maybe i can experiment with the thermals/frequency until i find a sweet spot, it seems sad to run it at 2.6GHz after all since it can boost up to 5GHz. Here are the current settings from within the power plan, I don't have a Intel console program or some utility thing regarding CPU turbo boosts or anything, so i assume it's done through the power plan's settings ? I only have a "Intel Graphics Command Center" on my PC currently.
  5. I have no experience with the undervolting side of things, is it a safe procedure and what kind of software is used?
  6. Update on the situation, i attempted to benchmark the game having Intel CPU's turbo boost running on "Efficient Aggresive", i gained about 15 fps within Rust but the CPU Temperature spiked up to 95 which is why i disabled the turbo boost in the first place beforehand. It might potentially be a cpu bottleneck issue. As far as im aware my cpu at stock speeds runs at 2.6GHz and the turbo boost allows it to 1.5 the frequency to the tradeoff of temperatures and powerdraw. Here is a screenshot off of HW Monitor
  7. So, I recently purchased a laptop with the following Specs: CPU: i7 10750h GPU: RTX 2060 6GB RAM: 16GB SSD: 500GB Current OS: Windows 11 with the latest updates installed. I have tested it in multiple games, most seem to run pretty well, except for Rust, Tarkov & League of Legends. Changing settings within Rust doesn't seem to make much or any difference at all. I have attempted to test several fixes: Changing Power Mgmt within NVIDIA control panel. Make sure it's using the proper GPU instead of Intel HD. Test several game settings (same results). Edit power-plan and disable & enable CPU Turbo Boost. Always make sure the Laptop is plugged in while playing. Use DLSS On & DLSS Off. Since the laptop is MSI - changing settings within the Dragon Center, no results. Reinstalling NVIDIA drivers with DDU. Drivers are latest game-ready Nvidia drivers Here I will post a test benchmark video recorded using ShadowPlay, one thing that seems odd to me is the GPU VRAM. It seems nearly capped out. Is this strange, any ideas on how it might be fixable, Tarkov is a similar situation fps hovers near 45-50, with drops even tho settings are some of the lowest possible, and League runs at around 80, 90 fps when Youtube benchmarks for the same specs reflect much higher FPS. I'm most concerned with Rust since it's what I mostly use to play.
  8. UPDATE : Flashed the bios , nothing changed , still a ,,no output'' at first and then a black screen. Im pretty much ripped off and nothing i can do about it? Can't i pay someone to repair it off of warranty
  9. It's getting even weirder and weirder , i tried what you just said and this is what i got , how do i flash the bios and is it possible in the current state i got a rom for the same model from techpowerup
  10. So i basically got ripped off , i ordered a cheap asus gtx 1060 dual off of a site similiar to craiglist , the card is seemingly brand new , has no problems when it comes to how it looks , smells new but outputs only a black screen ( Fans and everything spin , and the led on it turns on). The black screen doesn't happen immediately at first it's just ,,No Output'' and after about 30 seconds it's just a black screen , i can't get it to bios i've tried virtually everything , even tried it at a friend's pc , tried to reset cmos , change compatibility in bios , uninstall old gpu drivers and disable intel hd ( i even reinstalled windows yesterday) . TL;DR the gpu itself is defective , my question is since it seems to get power and some sort of output ( black screen ) , i've seen some videos of people repairing gpu's that aren't literally dead with a multimer and soldering tools , and i realized some of the defective components can be bought off of sites like aliexpress , where can i learn that and or can i find someone to do it for me or they will charge a lot ? Do i just have to check for voltage instabilities and replace whatever gives funky values
  11. So my font looks kinda weird in google chrome than from what i used to have , i got a new pc like 4 days ago and it's been like that.
  12. Aha... well that relaxed me quite a bit highest temps that 390 has scored is IDLE in the overwatch menu ;D around 74
