  1. Hi, I need to access central files (on a PC) from Android/PCs like how gdrive files can be accessed within my Home network (Wifi) Is there any software (open source preferred) that I can install on central file sharing server (Windows 10) and access them from Android/Iphones and other PCs? I have good WiFi with Mesh network. Pls advise, Thanks!
  2. I'm planning to buy "Seagate Exos X14 12TB Enterprise 3.5" Internal SATA HDD ST12000NM0008 2019" , please advise if there're any better options at that same price range? Thanks
  3. Thank you both! I think It's Proper windows restart but not sure as I don't sit in front of it. It's HP elitedesk 800 G1 (old one but working great with SSDs + 16GB RAM etc.) no standby machine to replace parts unfortunately
  4. Hi, My Windows 10 desktop reboots on its own 2-3 times a day and does NOT write any *.dmp files even though I enabled crash/memory dump settings. (there's 60GB+ space on C: drive). This desktop has been 24x7 ON for last 5 years (there's no dust inside it) and reboots only when monthly updates occur. The Event viewer shows "the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. this error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.". I did not install any software/updates/drivers in last 1 week (problem started 3 days ago). Please advise, TIA
  5. okay, thanks Is there anyway I can make 2nd drive "bootable windows 10" (from ISO or from first drive OS) without "installing" and then plug 2nd drive to another machine (has windows 10 OEM liense) so that it boots straight away (hardware specific drivers can be loaded on first boot or 2nd) Basically, I want to eliminate "installation of windows 10 from USB" on my 2nd machine. regards,
  6. Hi I have 2 SSDs and one of them is boot drive. Boot drive SSD is of 1TB and 2nd drive is 500G (empty) Boot drive has one folder with ~450G data so I want to clone Boot SSD to 2nd SSD drive by excluding that one big folder. After cloning, 2nd drive should be bootable and exactly same as 1st drive (without 450G folder). Is it possible? I dont have a backup device to keep that 450GB data elsewhere. Please advise, many thanks in advance!
  7. Alright, seems like I will have to replace motherboard. thanks!
  8. Hi, My HP elitebook 8470p is not getting powered ON but If I disconnect the battery and boot it with just power cord, it boots & works fine. I tested the battery on another Laptop (exact model) and it works fine. Could anyone please advise me on how to fix this issue and get it ON with battery connected? Thanks in advance!!
  9. It's temperature going slightly higher (58 degrees) when transferring data else its around ~50 degrees. Should I be worried and prepare to backup data before it goes completely down?
  10. Hi, CrystaldiskInfo shows 57 degrees Temp on WD 8TB external USB drive. Is it a problem? what should I do now?? Pls advise, thanks!!
  11. Thanks Xaixer, all good with it except for showing Installed software, it shows only the OS version details though!
  12. Hi, I need to get complete configuration of a friend's laptop remotely. Is there any SIMPLE (as he is not technical) command line or GUI tool that can generate system info report to a TEXT file with all the info like CPU, Motherboard model. RAM size, HDD/SSD, display, installed softwares etc. so that I can ask him to run and send me the report via E-mail? please advise, Thank you!
  13. Thanks Donut417 for the reply. It seems none of TP-Link routers are DD-WRT compliant unfortunately. regards,
  14. Hi, I have TP-Link Archer VR900 as my Internet Router which is working great. My ISP sent us a new router (they say it's best) which I would like to configure it as Internet router and configure existing (TP Link) as Wifi Repeater. I have a room in distance with multiple computers connected to local switch. The plan is to 1) configure ISP router as Internet router 2) Configure TP link as wifi repeater (connect it to Internet router via Wifi) 3) connect the switch to TP link to Gigabit switch (wired) and allow all the machines in that distant router connect to TP link so that they all get Internet access. Is it possible? if yes please advise on how. I tried to change TP link to Bridge mode but don't see such option. Thanks & regards,
