  1. I got a QNAP TS-531X a few days ago. It's running 5 x 8 TB Seagate IronWolf in RAID5. While I do actually quite like the system, one thing is really bugging me... It takes about 8 minutes to fully boot up. I know that not running it 24/7 but turning it off and on all the time isn't to good for the HDDs but there's nothing I can do about that atm as I have to keep it in a room with my bed for the time being. Now everytime I have to access some data quickly and it's off I have to wait the 8 minutes until I can access it. Is it something common with QNAP NASes that they take ages to boot up? I actually wanted to build a NAS myself with custom components but wasn't able to find a case that's small enough to fit in my shelf… Is there some case that has about the dimensions of my QNAP NAS (7.28 (H) x 8.29 (W) x 9.27 (D) inch) or if not, do Synology NASes boot faster? Thanks in advance for any answers
  2. Didn't read that... I guess I'll have to stick to other communities then...
  3. I'm experiencing some strange bugs when dual booting OS X Sierra and Windows 10 since some time and would find it very nice if somebody knew an answer to that problem. I was coding in Windows yesterday and shut down my PC when I went to bed. When I was booting Sierra today, my Apple Mail prompted me to re-enter my password for each of my mail accounts and my Spotify was also logged out. After rebooting again all accounts are present again but my Chrome profile is corrupted. This happened two times in the last two weeks now. Could that be some problem because I'm not using a DSDT? The only patch I'm injecting via Clover is the ShutdownFix. Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP7 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti
  4. Sadly the vCore of my 7950 is locked, due to the fact that I had to flash a UEFI GOP bios to get it working in OS X properly. The strange thing is, when I increase the power target in Afterburner I'm able to overclock higher, but it doesn't show a higher vCore in GPU-Z. What could be the reason for that?
  5. Thank's for your answers, I will keep the 7950 send back the 770 and get a second 7950 in the near future
  6. Haha Maybe I will try, selling the HD 7950 to an American, but the main question is, if the GTX 770 is noticeable faster in Hackintosh, because I'm using my computer like 85 % in OS X and 15 % playing games in Windows.
  7. I also thought of that, but I think that wouldn't make much sense in OS X.
  8. Here in Germany it only sells for like 150 € (about 200 $ ) on eBay, that's the only reason why I'm thinking of keeping it. Do you think, that the GTX 770 will also give a noticeable boost in OS X?
  9. Hi there, I recently ordered a Inno3D GTX 770 iChill 4 GB to replace my Radeon HD 7950 PCS+ 3 GB. Now that I got it, I ran a few benchmarks and did a few tests. Here are the scores: 3DMark 11 (all maxed): HD 7950 GTX 770 Heaven Benchmark: HD 7950 GTX 770 Furmark (xtreme burn-in): HD 7950 GTX 770 I mainly use the card for my Hackintosh running OS 10.8.5 (editing video, audio and such things), but also for gaming in Windows. Do you think it's worth keeping the GTX 770 for 350 € and selling the HD 7950 for 150 € or sending back the GTX 770 and keeping the HD 7950? Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP7 CPU: i7 2700K PSU: Corsair AX850
