  1. Curious and checking the temperature, but how long will you wait for a response on a warranty claim? I have a Lian Li Galahad AIO that failed. Not that big of a deal, these things happen, and It's a known problem to Lian Li, even having a website dedicated to it. https://lian-li.com/regarding-issues-with-our-galahad-aio-affecting-cpu-temperatures/ However, I'm over a week and a half since sent in my claim, and I have received my "receipt" from the Lian Li auto response. "Every message will be answered within 72 hours during business hours (Our business hours : Monday to Friday 09:00-18:00 CST ), please do not send us a second mail and do not send request to our social media at the same time, as this would additionally stress the processing and thus delay it."
  2. Hot take, I really don't think this is a hot take.
  3. Honestly this is totally fine for 2021. The only thing i would consider is a different GPU if you can find one. For $850 it's really hard to justify a RX 5500 XT. However It will run those listed games with out any problems. one idea is get the i5-10600K for $20 more and run onboard graphics while you try to get a card.
  4. So as we all know GPU pricing is stupid and well I played the GPU lotto and actually won. I got the opportunity to buy a 3070 at "list price" from Best Buy after 2 months of trying daily, thank you Falcodrin So i got a RTX3070 for $835 (ouch) after tax and and someone bought my GTX1080 TI for $815 shipped. Seriously why?. Not the GPU I really wanted, or hell needed as my 1080 was still great. But for $20 ill take the new GPU. Sorry to whoever really needed a card.
  5. i cant figure that out. its Liquid cooled torx fan but i cant figure it out
  6. You cant do it by steam account age. Just because someone is older doesn't mean anything. My oldest steam account started In October of 2003.
  7. That Flow X13 with external GPU sounds like a great portable(more?) workstation replacement, Or a rich student option.
  8. Same Problem with a Gigabyte x570-I I think it has to do with old drivers from my previous install. I ran a Display Driver uninstaller. I haven't done more complex testing but i think this did solve my problems. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html Now to figure out how to cool this hot boy 5800x. And yes this BIOS sucks and i have been very unhappy with this motherboard in general.

  10. Honestly, they would probably get better results using photogrammetry. Take a ton of photos and use ReCap to make the pointcloud. The type of laser scanners there neighbor has isn't for this type of work.
  11. I've been using a G700s since 2013ish and i've been having pinky finger pain. Think it's time to replace it.
  12. Nope not part of a domain I have a old Domain server, however its not used anymore as it doesn't work with windows 7+ and not part of a workgroup because that has been removed from 1803 and beyond. windows-10-homegroup-removed
  13. Yep, am able to sign in and view folders on the Windows 10 machine, just not the other way around. when i try to connect the "workstation" computer I get the following Error
  14. All, I have admitted defeat. My google skills have failed me. I have a really simple task of sharing folders and files between two Windows 10 computers via an unmanaged network switch. However, one of the computers is running "Windows 10 Pro for Workstations build 1803" the other computer is running Vanilla Windows 10 Pro. The problems is the computer with "Workstation" can only see a couple of computers on the network and it is unable to connect to any of the computers that have shared a folder. I have tried setting services to automatic like SSDP Discovery, UPnP Device Host, and Function Discovery Services. I also have SMB 1.0 CIFS File Sharing Support. I went through this guide, yet I obviously have the same problem. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/connecting-pcs-and-users-for-sharing/fb92e439-5dbc-4367-9857-1ef360e9ffdf Anyone one else run into something like this? Thank you,
