Not only that but also IPC. There's a reason why you can't compare a 4Ghz quad-core ryzen with SMT with any quad-core intel with HT.
I mean if IPC would always be the same the FX series would be awesome, but even tho they run at 4-5Ghz and have 8 cores, they are absolute crap...

Most games like clockspeed/cores though it often depends on the effects being used/game engine. tl:dr everything(?)
 
The usual i3 8100 build with 8GB DDR4/1TB blue and a 1050ti. Could always swap out the 8100 with a ryzen 3 1200 or whatever the amd equiv is.
I think it's around £500-600 for most people but I've seen people say £750-1k is a normal thing.
 
Personally fall into the 500-600 range as I can always upgrade later and that's what I like about that zone.
Spent £611 I think on my current build so far, I have a 8600k, 8GB DDR4, 525GB SSD and a 1050ti. Upgrading my GPU next summer or something.

don't bother with the 1030, either go with a 2200G with a 2800-3200mhz kit or just get a gtx 1050.

PSU is some unknown brand thing that I personally think is a stupid idea because it could blow at any minute if its a crappy psu.

You could always upgrade to a 1050ti, as you'd probably be likely to keep it if you do a CPU upgrade or platform.
 
I have a 1050ti currently and can play GTA V @ high and it's fine, personally don't play PUBG anymore but I've heard it's getting a bit better in terms of optimization.
When GTA V came out I had an i3-4130 and it struggled with an RX 480(I think it was?)
 
GPU upgrades are the safest bet, I guess. I miss my damn 480 but I got more than I paid for it, kind of also don't need it but hey.

I still have 8GB and it seems to be fine. Need to get something a little faster when I upgrade though.

PC games aren't really cheaper on PC, if you're playing brand new triple A titles. You also can't return a game if you don't like it/played over 2 hours.
Sorry to ask but don't you have to get the bios flashed for B350 motherboards? I mean, like ask AMD for a loan CPU or take it to a local shop.
 
I'd hold off for a bit, buy a normal PS4 for $200 and be happy with that. It also has a lot of cheap games used and a good selection digitally, though most of the good sales are done via PSN.

It was yeah, I got lucky though and everything turned out fine. 

I have a laptop with 4gb ram and i was wondering how much ram windows uses with no programs open. At the moment it uses 2gb with just task manager open.
