hey, first of all, which program do you use to create bootable device? if it's rufus make sure you use correct partition scheme for your drive. there are two variants of partition scheme MBR and GPT(on picture).

this is the pics what i did... my power supply didn't had ether 6 or 8 pin connectors i take a multimeter and found not useful 12V cables coming from PCU cut them and soldered on 8 pin connector... on 8 pin connector you need 3- 12V cables and ather 5 is just ground... you can see pics what it looks like.
