  1. I have a work laptop with Intel UHD 620, that is docked and connected to my XB273U GX via hdmi from monitor to display port to the dock via a converter, and often times I get some kind of flickering in certain areas of the screen when the color combination goes right I have swapped the cable and converter and even changed the HDMI port on the monitor and docking station, but the issue persists. When on the displayport connected to my own PC, i am not experiencing this issue. Also it seems that the position of the flicker changes when i change the contrast/brightness settings on the intel graphic settings control panel Could it be a monitor or driver issue? I have another XB271HU that is connected it has never caused any issues for me in the past. Currently I have 2 monitors connected via displayport and converted from hdmi and one VGA. This is the docking station that I'm using: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-2013-ultraslim-docking-station
  2. thanks for the explanation, it really does makes sense!
  3. Ok so here's my setup: I have a Xonar Essence STX that's powering one of my headphones and a mic, and I have my z625 speaker and another headphone connected to the onboard via optical and 3.5mm. As soon as I enter windows and my xonar turns on, i'd be getting static noises on my speakers and when someone turns on the water heater in my house, the static noise will be really audible from 2-3 feet away. I tried using ferrite chokes and separating the power outlet for my speakers and pc and it's still the same yesterday i tried connecting a 3.5mm to the speaker and i touched the other end's 3.5mm tip and the noise disappeared after that. then the static noise appeared again and this time i just plugged the cable onto my pc's front panel port and the static noise DISAPPEARED! now even when someone turns on the water heater, I'm not getting that static noise anymore. so can someone tell me, why does plugging the 3.5mm from speaker to my pc's front panel solved the issue? I am still using the optical output for speakers though.
  4. Hi guys, Are they both equally binned when it comes to overclocking potential? Or does either have a better memory chip than the other?
  5. Hi guys, I've tried my brother's ath-m40x for CS:GO and I find it slightly muffled, and it feels like the soundstage isn't that wide, as if I was sitting in the back row of a theater, so I'm looking for a headset that addresses this issue. I usually game on my samsung's AKG earphone and it still feels more engaging than the m40x. I currently own several grado headphones but I can't game on them cause it's open back so I hear alot of noise, and I want a better SQ than my earphone, and I have a few pairs in mind like the Corsair HS50, HyperX Cloud II or possibly the SteelSeries Arctis Pro. Could anyone tell me how would they fare against the M40x, sound quality wise? I can't test them out cause they're all sealed in boxes at the local stores.
  6. i think i'll be fine with how long the batteries can last, but what im not sure is the life span of the batteries, like will they start requiring constant charging every few hours like after 2 years or so? or will the switches break before the battery?
  7. Hi guys, how long do those rechargeable batteries on wireless gaming mice usually last before they degrade to a point where you have to charge them very often making it practically unusable? planning to get myself a corsair dark core + the mm1000 but i'd like to know how long they usually last before making the purchase.
  8. Can't find reviews of this PSU but from their site it seems decent. Does anyone here have any experience with their PSUs? http://gamingcomponent.gamdias.com/index.php/en/component/content/article?id=103
  9. Guess I'll try it out before actually changing the PSU. the 1080Tis i'm planning to get are the Zotac AMP Edition, and I'm getting 2 because besides gaming I'm gonna leave it to mine as well
  10. PCPP seems to estimate that my power usage would be around 821 watts with 2 cards, so I guess it'll be better for me to upgrade?
  11. do you happen to know how much power does a motherboard typically consume?
  12. Hi guys, Does a Corsair HX750 Platinum PSU have enough power to support dual factory OC 1080Ti? besides those 2 cards, there's an i7 8700K with MCE on and other peripherals such as 2x Noctua A14 Industrial PPC-3000 fans, Xonar Essence STX and other typical peripherals.
