So my question is this. Why would Intel do that when Xeon already exists which will do everything you want and more?

If this does get implemented, which it most likely wont, there will be a whole lot of optimization needed.

It will also require users to run the server edition of windows , because the consumer edition widows only supports 1 CPU. Pretty sure the server edition of windows doesn't have support for many applications.

gaming: it'll make things worse if anything, because of interconnect latency between the processors..

as for rendering, yes, there's lots of folks using dual-processor servers for rendering

never going to happen. it is something that has no appeal at all for the desktop platform, and for the people who require the features of dual-socket (or even quad-socket) boards there's plenty of server and workstation options.

Dual socket has 0 advantage to gamers, as the majority of games still only utilise up to 4 cores, which even a single i3 has now.
And renderers can go for an i9 chip instead, high core clock and high core count.

Why? Dual-socket/dual-CPU systems are pretty complicated.

I want to contact with Intel about that and i want to everyone contact with Intel. The next generation, i hope Intel can do that...The 9th and 10th Generation of Intel core processors have total 2 CPU socket support i hope...

never going to happen, because dual-cpu support comes from the cpu, not from the motherboard.

    This.

To add - if you check CPU specs (i7-8700k for example), it also says that maximum CPU configuration is 1.

    No.

There is no QPI links for the ability to run dual-CPU.

There is no point dual-CPUing when they can technically do it on-die. And even then without a fast bus you will find latency issues in games when attempting to utilize all cores.

They literally have no need to.
If someone needs higher core count and high clock speed, the i9's exist for that.

Your SLI/Crossfire example also isn't great, as support for that is less and less common nowadays, and games that do have support for it, it's badly optimised.

I'm fine with discouraging people from cheating but an IP and HWID ban would probably be enough, even if he was promoting a hack tool.

So as many of you may know, youtube mobile doesn't let you set a quality higher than your device's screen. I'm sure a lot of you know that 4k youtube looks better than 1080p youtube on a 1080p screen due to the increased bitrate, so lets fix this issue on mobile.

    Here's my 1080p Mi Max 2:

How did I do this? Just download a build.prop editor such as this one

Then add or edit a new property called sys.display-size and set a value of 3840x2160

    Then reboot.

That's literally all you need to do.

My lowly snapdragon 625 struggles with 4k60, but 1440p60 is rock solid. 4k30 and lower works perfectly.

Got my IIGS running Gold Rush.  It's funny how many millenials at work tell me there's no such thing as an Apple IIGS.    They will tell me...  "apple made the original iphone, 3G, 3GS, and the 4.  They never made a 2GS"...  and then I show them this.

working on my new over-the-top 486 build.  The IBM 5170 i've been using, while iconic, doesn't have the horsepower required to run a lot of games made in the late 80s and early 90s.

AMD-DX4100 wedged into an XT desktop clone case.
64mb RAM...  yes  megabytes.  1/1000th of what is in my gaming rig
    AWE32 + Roland Soundcanvas SC88Pro
Vesa Local Bus VGA and IO
    Vesa Local Bus SCSI controller
15k RPM SCSI drive... total overkill for a 486/VLB system!

So far it's been a pain in the ass.

Build quality on the new-old-stock XT clone chassis is garbage, i had to source a half dozen different types of screws to make everything work. Not having Plug and Play is a mess when you're cramming this variety of peripherals into a box.  I've had to hunt down manuals and make many, many jumper setting changes just to get it to POST. You need adapters for everything!  Dealing with DOS 6.22 and the limitations of FAT16 are killing me.  I might have to break down and use Win98SE command.com and fdisk to get FAT32 support for this drive.
