Woot! Laptop has arrived! Now I just need to jury rig a cable to my lambda psu so I can charge it as my power brick hasn't arrived yet.... Ugh if I can find a plug that fits that is.

    It'll be a light gaming and school workstation. Dell m6600 i5 2620m 8gbs ram and a quadro 3000m. Later on i'll upgrade those but for now it's enough

    Aaaaaand it's not charging.... ugh... whelp Lets hope that it's just some dell proprietary bs and not the laptop itself

    Got it for $300 cad. I'll be using its own display

     

     

    Figured out why its not charging most likely. Thanks @iamdarkyoshi for this tidbit

    Turns out Dell and HP laptops have a special signal they need from the brick to allow the charge.

     

    Ugh.. guess this meas i have to wait till my brick arrives

    @Schnoz Even if the battery is dead it should still power on when plugged in. Almost all laptops dont even need a battery as long as they have the external dc power source
