  1. Thanks for the tip, but I can't seem to find 3.5mm to 3.5mm cables on there websites. Am I missing something?
  2. Hi creesch, thank you very much for your elaborate response. Allow me to answer some of your questions. I do indeed want to use it as a as a headset, so a microphone is a requirement. It's mostly to attend meetings at work, the mic thus doesn't need to be stellar so in-line should be fine. Very true, the replacement cable I bought earlier was very bad, the volume-up key became sticky rendering the cable useless. However, I did not find it easy to spot that this cable would be so bad. It was braided, not very cheap and had relatively good reviews. Here is the URL to German amazon: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07XX1QS1S/ref=pe_3044161_185740101_TE_item?th=1. This is what I did last time, which yielded me an underwhelming cable. Is it a game of luck, or is there some logic I am missing?
  3. Hi y'all, The original cable that came with my headphones has worn out and the replacement I got from the manufacturer has met the same fate. I am using the Bang & Olufsen H9 3rd Gen headphones so I was looking for a regular 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable on amazon, but found that most of them looked rather cheap or there was a lot of snake-oil marketing going on. Preferably the replacement cable would also include an in-line microphone. Does anyone have any suggestions? Kind regards, LB
  4. Hi everyone, I was wondering whether anyone had any experience with using a thunderbolt 3 hub on their corporate laptops. Our IT department says that they can't guarantee private hubs/docks will work since they might require drivers which the laptop's centrally managed security policy might not allow. I have an HP EliteBook 840 G6 here. Any tips or experiences (positive and negative) are welcome. Kind regards, Lord Blue
  5. I was thinking of waiting, what kind of cheap card were you thinking about?
  6. Hi y'all, It appears I made a mistake buying an RTX 2070 Super two weeks ago. Fortunately Amazon is very chill about returns here and I can still return the GPU in the following two weeks. However since my CPU does not have on-board graphics would this mean I couldn't use the machine until the new GPU arrives? What do you think: should I return the 2070 super and use the cash to buy the 3070, or not? Did any new info become available in the last couple of days in regards to when we can expect the FE and board partners' versions of the RTX 3070 to ship out to customers? When will we be able to pre-order? I read the sticky post a couple of days ago and no news then. Thanks!
  7. I read a lot of good things about them. If I remember there used to be a lot news about Nord VPN as well, but there there was a leak wasn't there?
  8. The cable has arrived and this is true: pause/play works, but volume control doesn't. Is there a way around this?
  9. Hi y'all, My subscription to PIA is about to expire and I am wondering whether I should extend it or not. My main uses are (i) unlocking geoblocked content (e.g. Netflix, BBC, some commercial broadcasters from my home country when I'm working abroad, ...) and (ii) privacy. I am not really up to date with VPNs to be honest and on YouTube most of the videos on VPNs sound more like adds than honest reviews. Does anyone have any recommendations? My experience with PIA is overall good, but Netflix does detect I'm using a VPN fairly often. A client for on my Android phone is also a must. Thanks in advance!
  10. Hi y'all, I'm filling-out a digital form to get a replacement cable for the audio cable(regular headphone jack cable) of my headphones (B&O H9 3rd Gen). Mine doesn't have in-line controls, but the only replacement part on the producer's website is one with in-line controls which explicitly states it's for IOS. I have an Android phone so I was wondering whether the cable (or the in-line controls) would work on my phone (Samsung S10). Kind regards, LB Edit: spelling is hard.
  11. Perhaps I should give it a try with stock first, can always order an aftermarket cooler later.
  12. I see, do you think the stock cooler for the 3600x could suffice?
  13. Wouldn't the Hyper 212 Evo be too tall for the case?
  14. Thanks for replying, I have to admit that I have never heard about Scythe
  15. Hi y'all, Absolutely fell in love with the Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P, but I found it rather hard to find videos with regular air coolers that fitted. On pcpartpicker there were only 6 completed build, some of which used AIOs (https://pcpartpicker.com/builds/#e=3191,3192). Does anyone know which reputable air coolers with in this case and which you would recommend? Thanks!
