Little bit surprised AMD hasn't outright declined my warranty request claim for the 2700X. Instead they're asking me to provide system info and making sure I've tried everything. I figured if it wasn't under warranty anymore, they would have said so right away, but they haven't. Fingers crossed they will replace it...

The seller on Aliexpress, who I bought the chip from, had good reviews and customer feedback (97%) and they state in the description to contact them if there is any issues before leaving a negative review, yet hey haven't responded to my messages or even read them thus far... Not looking good for them. Though I do realize the Coronavirus situation in China could be affecting this.

Come on, AMD, a happy customer is a repeat customer. ;)

Best of luck, it's hit or miss with warranty work... depends on the person... the day... but when it all works out it's great!

Thanks, yeah I'm a little bit hopeful. Only because after providing them with the model #, serial # and a photo of the CPU, they didn't just outright deny warranty coverage. Hopefully they stand behind their products as this is kind of an odd failure.

@James Evens Good to know. What happened to yours and which chip did you have?
