NAS is finally built, up and running! Never done anything like this before as I don't know that much about severs and networks. Been quite the learning experience and I'm grateful for the highly detailed documentation for FreeNAS. It took me a couple hours to figure it out, but I managed to setup an NFS share directory and backed up my laptop to it. Feel a lot better now, knowing I have a fairly safe place to backup important data.

that's nice! glad to see its all complete, and uh 1000W might be a bit overkill. Can we get a spec list?
Also, I know your name now... and your degree

@LukeSavenije @BLLDoesTech Yeah, I know the PSU is overkill, but it's a decent quality unit that cost me next to nothing and has plenty of SATA connectors for future RAID expansions.
And thanks for pointing out that my diploma with full name was exposed in that one photo. Removed it from my post and PCPP completed build gallery. Will blur that out and re-upload.

Yeah, first name I don't mind. But it had both my middle names and half the last name.

@LukeSavenije What do you mean by "not a strong nas"? It's only meant for basic data backup.
