i have a hp pavlion notebook (15-AU084TX) which comes with 1 TB HDD. Now, i have been thinking of upgrading my notebook with samsung 960 evo NVME ssd but the board does not have a dedicated m.2 port. now, the dilemma i am facing is that can i use a caddy for m.2 to optical disk bay port and put my ssd there , will it give the same performance it would have given on a m.2 port or the other option i should go with a sata III ssd ? help please
