  3. hi there, im new here. a many years ago my dad converted old VHS tapes (around 30) to .avi files. each one is about 90 minutes long yet each file is around 20Gb. where can i look for help with reducing the size of those file? why would they be so large to begin with? where can i find the pro's to help me.
  4. the only thing I can think of is that I changed in the bios the ram clock speed from 2400 to 3200 (that's what i my ram got) but it was a while ago so im not sure if it is related i did download and used "quick cpu" but since then i reinstalled windows (i don't know if the effect stays). is there a way to test it?

  6. hello, for a few days now my pc crashes. just turns off. I have watched every guide on YouTube on how to get dump files and i followed every instruction. including creating a paging file. still cannot find anything. today it happened twice. once when I played league of legends. the other time was a bit suspicious, I was trying to open a folder called "logs" in the windows folder on the file explorer, it said I didn't have permission and asked if I want to give myself permission. the second I clicked ok the pc turned off again. I checked temps, everything looked fine. reinstalled windows, and even swapped a SSD to a new one and installed a fresh windows there. still same problem. my system : cpu ryzen 5 3600x gpu : rx 5700 mother board us tuf b450-plus gaming psu : coolermaster 650W gold. 16 gb ram 3200 mhz hyperx it happened again, 3 times in a 10 minutes window, I didn't do anything special . when I turned on my pc, steam and Spotify logged me out. that's leads me to believe its a software issue.
  7. On warzone I did have an issue called packet burst (I don't know if its retitled but it was playable, I just had some stuttering sometimes). On other games like cs go on league of legends I never had any issues. And defiantly no issues while transferring files.
  8. Hello, today while playing COD warzone with my friends my pc crashed, no BSOD screen, it just turned off. The same thing kept happening while playing other games too like League Of Legends. I assumed it had something to do with my graphics card even though temps were fine on the CPU and GPU. After a cupule hours of trying to see what's causing the problem I transferred a folder with old photos from one SSD to an HDD. My pc immediately crashed again. I tried transferring the files to my m.2 drive and it crashed again. I thought that meant the problem was in the original SSD, so I did a file transfer from the HDD to the m.2, pc crashed again. So my pc crashes when large files are transferred between drives. Note: COD warzone is installed on the ssd (not the m.2) and LOL is installed on the m.2. My rig: gpu: AMD Radeon RX 5700 cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 3006X m.2: corsair Force MP510 240.0 GB (os) ssd: transcend TS512GSSD230S 512.1 GB hdd: WDC WD10EZEX-22MFCA0 1000.2 GB EDIT: I have a hard drive with a usb adapter that I keep movies and photos on. since I was afraid of losing files from my pc I wanted to back up some more photos. The second I plugged the usb (literally, it wasn't even all the way in) my pc crashed again (tried multiple times, same result).
  9. I just bought myself a new gaming laptop, the GL 702 vm from asus. it has a core i7 7700HQ, 16GB of RAM, GTX 1060 6GB. i mostly use it to game on my desk, I use a gaming mice and a mechanical keayboard and a large monitor when i game at home so i have so many cables attatched (3 USB's, 1 3.5mm jack, 1 internet port, 1 HDMI and a power cable). i play my games (like pubg) mostly at 1920*1080 on high and getting around 60 fps. i would like to be able to have just one or two cables conected so if ill choose it it will take me just a secont to plaug and play or leave faster. If I will use a docking station (like this one: Plugable USB 3.0 Universal Laptop Docking Station) will my games look the same? will my FPS stay around 60? is there any sagnificant input lag?
