  1. Well, it's a cool idea for a short time cooling boost, but a permanent setup using tap water? A WASTE OF WATER. Unless you lived in the cellar of anpartment and hooked it up to the main water supply; an apartment of people should cause enough water flow.
  2. I agree on your points here. I recieved the Power 5s a week ago, and boy oh boy, is it an upgrade from my iPhone 5s. Added a 256gb sd card, moved all the apps over, etc. I love it. @ReaperHR, how have you dealt with the lack of an audio jack on this battery beast?
  3. What the hell are these mean comments talking about? I love LinusTechTips, and the best thing is you guys keep improving, year after year. The best thing is that you do this while ignoring most of the youtube drama, at least that’s the inpression I get. Keep on powering this sandal steam powered boat of massive awesomeness. You guys are awesome. Edit: By the way, the best thing is tha- Just kidding. I actually dislike the «please like share subacribe» thing at the end of each video. ples stop. Actually don’t, that ending is the golden staple of LTT. Keep on trucking.
  4. Ok, let us stay away from laws. How about this. Let’s say everyone in the world somehow has agreed to adopt a new standard. All new houses are built with the new standard, and people can include the old standard if they want to. (same text from this point) Let’s look at a factory producing power outlets, a steady amount every year. The new standard requires new molds, maybe new tools, and some other new things. For the factory, this does initially cost more energy to start up. As time passes, the new standard will see rapid production growth, as all new houses require them. The old standard would decline slowly, until after many decades, no one uses the old standard. Now, let us be clear. A change to a new standard will require more energy than just maintaing the status quo. How about the long run, globally? Would Earth with many standards as today, require more or less energy, compared to an Earth where everyone used one global standard?

  6. Energy and resources, precius metals, isn’t this just a question of producing less of one and more of the other? Like, the amount of resources dug out is constant, regardless what is made? Them new houses will be built anyways. Although it is true for those who travel little. And then when travelling, you already probably have an adapter. Yeah, I don’t think worldwide standard power plug is an urgent problem these days.
  7. I can only imagine the process would take a very, very, very long time. Like, the new plug would be standard in new houses, and leave the old houses alone. At least there would hopefully be one and only standard for when we populate other planets.
  8. Not sure how or if they solved ground. I guess a ground ring, or contact point, or something would do the trick.
  9. PS: the picture; a student who designed a new wall thing for the europe standard: https://www.dn.no/grundervirksomhet/design/kan-tjene-20-millioner-pa-skoleoppgaven-sin/1-1-5219583
  10. We should take all the plug standards today, throw them all in a big crock pot, an cook up a plug that has all the benefits. While we are at it, we might as well make it so easy to plug in, even a blind person could do it. It shouldn’t be too hard if EVERYONE agrees to replace all standards with something better. I mean, we did it with USB, and are currently doing it with USB-C. Can’t be that hard with power outlets, right?
  11. So I decided to buy this phone, after walking around with my iPhone 5s for almost five years. It still works, I even replaced the battery. Despite the Ulefone Power 5s having only 4gb ram and being mediocre compared to other phones today, upgrading here improves everything. The camera is better, the screen is bigger, it’s not so small in my hands, and of course, going from a 1560mAh battery to this chinese beast will be a heavenly step up. What I want to see however, is better batteries. Like, more capacity in the same weight and size. Imagine the iPhone Xs with a 13000mAh battery, but it weighs the same, and it is just as slim as it is now. Week long batteries in the slim phones we all love and have. PS: I used to have my iPhone 5s encased in a Lunatik Taktik Extreme. Thus I am not too worried avout the size and weight of the Ulefone.
  12. Not only does it look like the laptop is flat agains the table, it also looks like the computer is flat against an anti-static rubber mat.
  13. I know right? They just let it sit flat. "Oh, and now it thermal throttles." No shit sherlock, of course it thermal throttles with its fans blocked.
  14. The laptop is thermal throttling? No wonder, you have the fans flat to the table. Put a wallet or some lego weels between the laptop and table, to give it a better chance. Please.
  15. It is disappointing that the follow-up video is delayed, especially when you have a whole year worth of preparation. However, I am sure they have their reasons to why it is delayed. We are all apes that do mistakes now and then.
