  1. Maybe they're afraid to release it at that price with the 295X out for half the price and 2 Titan Zs for a $100 less so they're trying to sweeten the deal somehow.
  2. I don't get your point, I'm talking about the source article which states an improvement of 12-270x not just 270x from any SSD implementation as the title would lead you to believe, still pretty impressive, but who knows how impressive it will be once it's available for the regular consumer.
  3. Yes but such upgrades usually are not enough to raise interest for most people.
  4. I wouldn't expect this any time soon, it's not even enterprise grade yet and it will be extremely expensive even then. Also it should be clear that the technology is expected to be between 12 to 127x, with 127x probably being for a low end TLC SSD, you should probably change the title a bit to reflect that.
  5. Yes, hopefully it will sell at flagship price while the M8 gets a price reduction. Still this seems like the usual slight upgrade HTC likes to release after half a year or so from the flagship which hasn't worked well in the past, then again we might see a push for even higher end devices from Samsung and HTC, which sounds more like an excuse to jack up prices even higher.
  6. They're all pretty crap so no wonder a lot of people just opt for free AV software or just Windows defender/MSE or whatever came bundled with their PC and end up getting full of malware anyway because they don't even realize their software hasn't been updated since they bought the damn thing and/or their demo license expired a month after so it couldn't do anything when they inevitably torrent stuff carelessly. As for techies, Defender/MSE/most other free software + free Malwarebytes + common sense is probably one of the best options so there's definitely no money to be had from the AV business, all CEOs should have followed John McAfee's example .
  7. Saw these several days ago from TTL, they definitely look really good even with the red and black scheme getting quite old.
  8. It's funny how many tech sites just copy and paste from each other as shown by the "VI" mistake which I've seen on a few websites (might be fixed by now) .
  9. At this rate the by the time it will be available locally (if it ever happens) something better would have long replaced it in my wishlist. I mean the 64 GB version should be available end of this month, 16GB end of the next and even then it'll be invite only and in select countries for a (probably long) while, so it definitely won't be killing any flagships... Also this is not that new although I'm surprised you didn't find anything considering the whole smash the past thing, must be search still failing as much as it used to before the several months I've been inactive .
  10. After reading the title I immediately thought was a bit sensationalist, and it was: Amazon patented their specific way of taking images with foreground and background lighting etc, but it still seems stupid to be able to patent such a thing
  11. That's what I was going to say, pretty sure it would shatter my knee  at which point I'd drop it on the floor and it would end up next to my brother downstairs.
  12. You can use Boss Userlist manager to override BOSS sorting and add sorting to files which are not recognized by BOSS so you don't have to sort them manually every time. Also BOSS is pretty much being completely replaced by Loot (by the same developers and still in beta: http://loot.github.io/), in fact masterlists are very outdated as Loot is a bit more smart and doesn't need masterlists. Here's a vid from Gopher about it:
  13. Finally managed to get some free time and a new GPU, so I decided to play some BI: Burial at Sea II to further test my overclock and play a game after quite a long while of hardly any gaming at all .
  14. I believe Antec used to use capacitors on cables on their high end power supplies where they did actually improve the ripple, but only because the power supply was providing some rather bad ripple, this PSU might be better to the point where it does not matter, you really need to test this specific PSU with and without the silverstone cables to be sure. You could also consider cutting a small hole in the sleeving and soldering them back in and cover them with heatshrink
  15. I know everyone's saying this but the design and build quality is definitely the best thing about this phone, followed by the fact that they managed to make a skin which doesn't suck and make you hate the phone for not having stock android skin (I still prefer stock android slightly though, sorry). I don't really care that much about the camera so that doesn't really affect me, although of course having a better camera would have been nice too.
  16. I'd say both but if I had to choose one it'd be toys because there are way too many gaming focused channels
  17. This has been out for a while for me
  18. It should be faster than 780 Ti but it's not intended for gaming anyway...
  19. Yeah, but the news was out a few days ago, I haven't had time to visit the forum and I assumed someone else had already posted it so I posted it this morning, when I found out nobody had posted the news, a few hours before it was released.
  20. According to Guru3D it's expected to be around $1000 just like the Titan.
  21. AKA TitannotreallyblackordoubleprecisionTi, I'm guessing this is it, I mean they might as well wait and release it as part of the 800 series and probably sell more and target gamers.
  22. Well, that's tech for you, tbh it wouldn't have made any difference if this weren't silent for them, if anything they can still say they have a Titan and not specify which version . I think most of them have bought it as an investment and are pretty happy with the value anyway.
