  1. They are fantastic! I have a few suggestions though... Some icons, in my opinion, could be done differently: The Off Topic icon doesn't really represent anything at the moment so I think having it like a road sign like below would make more sense. The Watercooling icon could be as an icon of a reservoir. Again so that it relates to something and is more iconic *pun intended *. The Networking icon could be normal not upside down. The Esports icon could be a medal with either WASD or a controller in it so that it represent both sports and the fact that they are E-sports. The Mobile gaming icon is too similar to the Mobile devices icon and I think it should show a game like Tetris or Pong just to emphasise the 'gaming' part. The Star Citizen icon really stands out from the rest because it is all white and has text on it. In my opinion it should just be the icon and coloured in different colours. Here is a rough draft of how I think you could do them:
  2. This is the first video Linus has made when he worked for NCIX before starting LinusTechTips
  3. Wasted opportunity imo should collect all of the dirty dishes and wait to see who's it is when they look for it and then BRING DOWN THE PUNISHMENT!!!
  4. Another proper sequel to Gothic (3) since Gothic 4 was a disaster and they even changed the name of it since it was hardly a Gothic game. Thankfully Piranha Bytes is working on a new game ELEX which sounds like it would be a spiritual successor to Gothic so I'm hyped for that!
  5. Recently can't get enough of EDEN (a.k.a "The Project Eden" previously). His songs are super chill and he has a really good voice in my opinion. https://soundcloud.com/eden-mcmxcv/sets/end-credits
  6. Yeah the one in OP is my favourite. EVGA and Asrock boards are pretty slick too. Not a massive fan of the other new MSI and Gigabyte ones, I liked their more elegant design with z97.
  7. You can't change your user name on your own. You will have to ask one of the moderators to do it for you. Be warned they won't change it unless you have a good reason why they should do it. Considering that you have very little posts you could just as easily make a new account with the name that you want. You can find all moderators here: http://linustechtips.com/main/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=stats&do=leaders P.S. @thelastboomboxx make sure that you follow your own threads/topics using the button on the far right side of the title "Follow this topic" so that you receive notifications whenever people reply in your thread/topic. You can also follow your own topic/thread when creating it. There is a tick box on the right sidebar next to the editor.
  8. It's this one https://store.snapon.com/Standard-Handle-Screwdriver-Ratcheting-Magnetic-Standard-Orange-8-3-4--P634146.aspx Keep in mind that the high price is because it is from a well regarded automotive tools brand.

Ugh... YouTube new player looks nice but is ter…

On full screen it is way oversized, it keeps disappearing even when viewing out of full screen which is really irritating and they removed the watch later button which was really handy. I'm pretty sure they can't even follow their own design ideas. Why not use the material design for YouTube and actually make it look like a professional website and not something an amateur threw together in a night. The design is all over the place.
  10. Ugh... YouTube new player looks nice but is terrible to use. I honestly haven't hated something this much in a long time...

  11. I can see content creators like Linus Media Group finding this super handy when needing to edit in a hotel when they attend various shows or need to edit when travelling.
  12. It showed you the notification because I tagged you otherwise it won't hence why I told you about the follow this topic button
  13. Well I have Windows 10 and my 250gb 240 EVO runs just fine. I don't really see a reason any drive should have issues. The Samsung magician software also works fine. P.S. @GamerMan make sure that you follow your own threads/topics using the button on the far right side of the title "Follow this topic" so that you receive notifications whenever people reply in your thread/topic. 14. According to the network frequencies that the Axon supports (found HERE) and the network frequencies that Three Network operates on (found HERE) It should work just fine on 3G but I'm unsure about 4G but I think it will be fine. EDIT: Best thing you could do is contact Three and see if they could check the compatibility for you based on the network frequencies that are on the phones product page just to be 100% sure. 15. Right so I did a super janky calculation so I might be completely wrong... If you were to have a 21:9 and 16:9 monitor next to each other you would need to have a 24' 16:9 monitor and a 29' 21:9 monitor. I've figured this out by looking at 2 monitors of that type, in this case LG 29UM57 and the LG 24MP56HQ-P. Looking at the specifications for both and the dimensions of the of the Monitor without Stand and comparing them the LG 29UM57 is 27.7" x 12.9" x 2.5" (W x H x D) and the 24MP56HQ is 21.8" x 13.0" x 2.3" (W x H x D). So comparing the height you would be 0.1" (2.54 millimetres) off so almost a perfect match. Now accounting for the thickness of the bezels you could have the actually screen slightly larger than another but it would be very close. Also both monitors are 1080p so the pixels should align almost perfectly horizontally. So when trying to match a 16:9 and 21:9 monitor what you need to look for is for the pixel height like 1080 and for the actual monitor height to match so that the screens look perfectly in line and the resolution matches. Not sure if this actually is how it would be so take it with a grain of salt. Also the is technically LG 24MP56HQ-P 23.8" diagonal so not quite 24" but it's classed as one. EDIT: Oh yeah and you would have to make sure that the stands have height adjustment so you could get both monitors or at least one adjusted to match the height of another.
  16. The fact that this forum is now flooded with Windows 10 threads every other thread asking the same or similar questions. Might as well be used for official Microsoft forums
  17. I couldn't get it to upgrade so I used the media creation tool and upgraded it that way. So far very stable and everything works just as well as it did on 8.1.
  18. I've just used CCleaner and a tick box for "Old Windows Installation" and it got rid of the Windows.old and $Windows.~BT. I manually deleted the $Windows.~WS. I'm going to restart see if anything changed brb EDIT: Booted up and everything seems fine and the same so I'd say you are good to delete them.
  19. Have you tried running it as admin? I had a few issues with getting upgraded to Windows 10 and this was the only way that worked for me
  20. Not sure what you mean... there was an update for the Nvidia driver over the Microsoft Update which is a newer version than the one you can get from Nvidia's website. I played some games today and it seems to work just fine like it did on 8.1.
  21. Have you tried using the media creation tool? If not get it HERE and install Windows 10 that way. Make sure you have "Upgrade this PC now" selected when you launch it and then it will download Windows 10 and go through the upgrade process. In my case I didn't need to use the product key and Windows 10 was activated after install. Just select to keep all of your files and settings so that all of it moves over as well.
  22. Easiest way to get Windows 10 is get the official media creation tool from HERE and install Windows 10 that way. 23. If you don't want to wait just get the official media creation tool from HERE and install Windows 10 that way.
