  1. Not sure if we are also doing game deals but Forza Horizon 3 and some DLCs are on sale which is pretty rare since it is a Windows Store game. I grabbed the Deluxe Edition personally Amazon UK deal links: Forza Horizon 3 Deluxe Edition [Xbox One/Windows 10 PC - Download Code] From £64.85 to £34.99 Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition [Xbox One/Windows 10 PC - Download Code] From £79.85 to £44.99 Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain [Xbox One/Windows 10 - Download Code] From £15.99 to £7.99 Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels DLC [Xbox One/Windows 10 - Download Code] From £15.99 to £9.49
  2. Very nice card! I have a 1070 Strix and it looks fantastic, isn't particularly loud and the OC mode gets it to around 2030Mhz+ for me without breaking a sweat while keeping things nice and cool.
  3. The Burnout series might be dead as we know it, but the founders of the series are now working in their own indie studio, Three Fields Entertainment and they are working on a racing game (likely a spiritual successor to Burnout).
  4. Well it is an early access game and it is still pretty far from being well optimised. I play the game on very low apart from draw distance being on Ultra. I have a GTX 1070 and I still get mid 40s everywhere and it goes down to 20s in big towns. That is at 1440p. Just have to deal with it for now until it gets refined. Should have expected it when buying an early access game.
  5. Depends on how far you sit from the screen and what you will use it for. I have a 25" 1440p screen (AOC Q2577PWQ) and sometimes some text can be a little small but not unreadable. This is mainly since the pixels per inch is higher then lets say with a 27" screen so everything is very sharp and clean looking. So at 24" you might need a small windows scale increase to like 125% but if you sit within arms length from the screen you should be ok.
  6. First time I saw it it looked really cool... but it different colours??? Now this is an awesome card! Especially if they have a lot of colour options.
  7. I just grabbed a GTX 1070 Strix OC. Imo it was a good deal Finally can say bye bye to my R9 270x!
  8. So how exactly is Nvidia Now better than something than LiquidSky which seems to provide the same service for less and with more hours. e.g. Gamer plan gives you 80h for $10 (monthly plan) and 500gb for you games. Good luck to this Nvidia service. I don't think it will go far with that pricing.
  9. @FourCorners Level1Techs have their reviews up as well with a lot of z270 motherboard reviews so might be worth adding those to the OP.
  10. More new parts This time I picked up a new 1440p monitor (AOC Q2577Pwq) and overclocked it to 75hz to match my other monitor. Also grabbed a Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum for £80 during the Black Friday sales. Just to make things convenient I got a TaoTronics Bluetooth Audio Receiver (TT-BR05) so I can play music from my phone on the speakers. Added extra LED strips for the new monitor and I think I'm pretty much sorted with my setup for the coming year! (pardon the potato photos; the One M8 has a crappy camera ) Some extra photos: A full list of all the things that make up my build if you are interested in anything it should all be here:

Going to try having my current monitor in portrait along the new one (coming tomorrow :D ). Should make programming a lot more enjoyable. Surprisingly my current monitor looks decent in portrait for an older TN panel.

  12. Ebay has a few kits at an affordable price but I can't find any with yellow or blue cables. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30M-Cat6-Network-RJ45-Bulk-Roll-Cable-Crimping-Punch-Down-Tool-Boot-Connector-UK/252179327921?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D39828%26meid%3Dd9ab721f9483489a833cdc2cade95a86%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252239911045 Unless you have a very specific reason to make your own I would just recommend getting premade ones like these. They are also flat so should be very easy to manage and hide. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flat-RJ45-Cat5e-Cat6-Ethernet-Cable-Network-LAN-Patch-Lead-Wholesale/400934971780?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D2220071%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D39828%26meid%3Dd9ab721f9483489a833cdc2cade95a86%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D252239911045
  13. ...and no full size USBs only C on a flagship laptop. I'm sure a lot of people will be pissed.
  14. You can't use headphones on the SMSL Q5 Pro since that is a Amp/Dac for speakers not headphones.
  15. I own it, I love it, I recommend it for sure! Very high quality case as you would expect for the price. Really nice to build in. Has easily accessible fan filters where they are needed. Mine is the Galaxy Silver but I have a friend that owns the Satin Black and both look stunning. Here is what my build looks like:
  16. I just downloading the Anniversary update for the 3rd time so I can get the game and play it. Really wanted to play a good racing game and since NFS has gone to shit (imo) and Burnout hasn't been a thing in a while I put all of my faith into this game. Since I'm not getting BF1 anymore (at least for now; £104 is a fucking joke for the game + Premium) then I'm throwing my money into Forza and hopefully rightfully so
  17. Although above your budget by £3, Overclockers UK has the Mionix Zibal mechanical keyboard. Although relatively basic in design, it's a full size green backlit Cherry MX Black keyboard. It only comes in that configuration so it's a matter of taste at that point, but in my opinion for the price you get quite a bit of a keyboard there.
  18. Or you know... add Non-steam games to Steam and get the Steam overlay for games like Battlefield? Considering that most peoples games are on Steam with a few exceptions it seems like a reasonable solution.
  19. So this is what my setup looks like now with the new stuff Also got around to OC my 2500k for the first time and got 4.5GHz 1.32v so far. Ran Prime 95 for a few hours and never went above low 60c's!
  20. I had a similar issue with my 560ti and I solved by doing this but it might not work for you: Go to Nvidia control panel: 3D Settings -> Manage 3D Settings -> Global Settings -> Power management mode -> Prefer maximum performance So in theory it shouldn't underclock itself anymore as a power saving feature and keep the clocks up.
  21. So this week I got some new parts to refresh my build a little and prepare it for the main components upgrade which I plan to do some time in Q1 2017. So right now the things I got are: Case: Phanteks Evolve ATX Galaxy Silver PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650w 80+ Gold Watercooler: Corsair H115i ...and sadly RAM: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 1600MHz 2 x 4GB (8GB) So this is what it all looks like now: ...and here is the reason why I had to replace my standard Vengeance RAM with the Low Profile model ;( My bad for not checking but I didn't expect it to be an issue. Here is what it used to look like before I got new parts: Quite the difference if you ask me I'll add a whole setup pic tomorrow when I get some sun light For specs and older pics look HERE.
  22. After playing some games on BF1 BETA I realised I really need to get a new PC FeelsBadMan.
