  1. So ive got an 8700k on the Prime z370p and set the additional vcore in the adaptive mode to 1.12. I left the offset on auto. Now when watching youtube for instance the voltage goes up to a max. of 1.168. Yet when at 100% load like in cinebench it stays at 1.088. What did my setting even do? Seems like it did nothing. Would really appreciate some help. I'd like my cpu to hit a max of 1.12 Volt. Thx! Edit: i already set IA DC to 0.01
  2. Would you mind posting your bios settings of your CPU? Would really appreciate that because I always get 60+c no matter what game I play, and I didn't even oc.
  3. guys pls help. My 8700k uses about 1.216-1.3 Volt when i game. I tried Offset mode and Adaptive mode and it doesnt change anything, it still goes up to 1.3 Volt. Only thing that works is manual mode. I set it to 1.25 and it would stay at 1.248 all the time. But I dont want to use manual mode, because i dont like the high Voltage in Idle.
  4. Apparently disabling MCE and Sync all cores didn't do anything to the temps
  5. Thank you guys very much. I appreciate the help. I will try all that and turn off mce and sync all cores. I ordered some thermal grizzly paste and will apply it tomorrow. I'll report back!
  6. Hi , my i7 8700k is running a bit hot. In some games i get up to 80c after a few minutes already. I noticed that CPU-Z shows the Vcore peaks at 1,3 Volt. In the Bios i already set an offset of -0,06V. It seems like no matter what i do, the Voltage keeps going up that high. In Cinebench though i only get 1,136V and in idle 0.59V. How can i lower the Voltage when gaming? Im @stock so im sure i should be able to run it at 1.2V max. ThankS!
  7. ambient T is 20c. Fans are plugged in the cpu fan header. I think it is the voltage. I dont know what to do anymore. I already set an offset of -0.06 and according to Cpu-Z it still goes up to 1.3 Volt when playing. But in Cinebench it doesnt go any higher than 1.136 Volt.
  8. Besides that I don't think applying new thermal paste will change that much. Maybe 2-3 degrees? So what else can I try?
  9. It's a deepcool captain 240 ex. The reviews were alright and I think it's working fine. So I will try applying new thermal paste. But I'll have to order it and wait for it.
  10. Well I checked my voltage with CPU z and when running cinebench it settles at 1.136v. I think that's a very good voltage isn't it? I think I'll have to check the voltage while playing gta. Do you think reseating the cooler without applying new thermal paste makes any sense?
  11. Nope. @ stock. In other games i rarely ever reach 70c.
  12. Hi guys. my i7 8700k gets up to 79c when playing gta 5. I am using a 240mm liquid cooler. Is that normal? im a bit worried.
