  1. Sweet but how though was my original question lul I imagine that I would have to cut into the frame with a rotary tool and smooth the edges but then how would support the rad?
  2. "Need" what is this word you speak of? lul It's an enthusiast build. but in terms of functionality, I want the 140's for to maximize quiet & cooling
  3. I currently have an h500p case and want to take advantage of case ability to accommodate 3x 140mm fans but I cant understand why on earth the case cant accommodate a 420 rad to match. I would like to retrofit a 420 in the top portion of the case for my main build or as a trial run for a later final mod in the h500p mesh or h500m Is anyone here familiar with the specs of this case and can lend a hand?
  4. that sounds epic as fuck although personally I'm not confident about delidding and operating without a warranty
  5. Time is a relative, and surely you know that Intel will release in there usually " hey look at us too" style to keep AMD from running amuck. hopefully this time with cpus worth owning
  6. Thanks man that's a load off my mind Yes I'm aware of the general consensus provided by Gamers Nexus, however, I'm banking on the cooling provided via the a.i.o along with central air, and a moderate overclock to keep things cool until I work up the balls to do a custom water loop at which time the front fans won't matter at all
  7. Lul I ask my self this same question every day. I'm striving for 2 things with this build. First to a great gaming set up (yes I know gaming on a 7800 is a joke ) but remember its a placeholder until the eventual intel refresh. Secondly to make a strong impression as I embark into modding I have a strong affinity for the Asus Rampage Extreme and have a lot of design ideas centered around this board. that I'm not so eager to let go of. This board is by far the best thing I've seen and if its X399 counterpart came anywhere close to it we wouldn't be having this conversation but sadly that's not the case.
  8. Thanks. On the topic of airflow. I was thinking of going with a 360 aio and 3 120mm fans set in pull it the top of the h500p to keep the inside of the case clear do you think that combined with the 200mm in the front with be enough? to cool the 7800 or720x clocked between 4.3-4.5 ?
  9. I'm building my first enthusiast-grade pc and want to go on the Asus rampage extreme VI for is functionality and, aesthetics. My plan is to go with the x7800 or x7820 to hold me over until Intel makes a real x299 CPU but I'm concerned with the v.r.m overheat issue. is this still a concern with the 7800x & 7820x or is this only an issue with core i9?
