okay yeah i rotated the chip and now my audio is way better but i still get static. whenever stuff plays, but its alot more tolorable. i think i damaged it since i accidently bent one of the pins. so im going to go ahead and purchase a new one since theyre so cheap. thank you!

my motherboard is a Gigabyte ga-z170mx-gaming 7 and it has an op amp in it. i honestly have no idea what these things are but i know they have to do with audio. thing is i ripped it out of my motherboard not knowing what it was at the time and bent a few pins on it, does that mean i damaged it? because whenever i use my onboard audio for speakers since i have a 2.1 speaker setup, i hear nothing but static. and barely any actual audio from my pc. is this because i possibly damaged op amp or is it something else? because this didnt happen on my other motherboard and i know the speakers are functional since i tested this with my phone and another soundcard. video_2019-11-04_15-09-45.mp4

i recently bought an i5 6500 because i wanted to upgrade from my i5 2500 and it arrived in the mail and at first i tried using an EVGA z170 Stinger, but i found out one of the pins were broken so i went to use the Gigabyte board. thing is that it seems to work fine. but it keeps turning on and off every few seconds and i dont know what the problem is. i've been googling it and seeing that it may be a corrupted bios. how would i be able to flash the bios? and if thats not the problem, what would i be able to do to diagnose it more?

i mean, yes im aware of how slow the core 2 duos are compared to alot of the newer stuff, im not looking for speed. im looking for a cheap pc that can play some NES, SNES, and N64 stuff and play movies and tv shows, i dont need a gaming rig. i already have one. and either way. the shipping on that listing is $70. way beyond what i wanna spend

i can probably do 60 bucks, but i dont even think we have a tech company over here in my town. i've considered dumpster diving in some warehouses or places that do have computers to see if they threw any away, but no luck. my neighbor works for the military and she has alot of computers on hand, but legally she cant take any of the old ones they dont use anymore, cuz thats apparently "stealing government property" she straight up said that its bullshit seeing how much E-Waste they throw out just because they dont use it anymore instead of recycling them or donating them to places that need them.

im trying to find some older OEM systems, preferable from the Windows XP era (2001-2007) preferably for under $50, older pcs on ebay are usually over $50. i would resort to craigslist, but i live in the middle of fucking nowhere, so computers are a rare thing to see. i dont wanna spend more than 50 dollars due to the fact that i was wanting to put a 1tb hdd and put some movies and emulators on it so that i can hook it up to the tv and just watch some movies and play emulators on the couch instead of having to sit in my chair. help would be appreciated.
