  1. Yeah is does use a USB port and that is the only port it has, but when i hear other people use this mic who have changed the boost stetting that i don't have, it sounds fine. The sound quality is really good apart from the slight static. I just want to test the realtek drivers to see if that will give me the setting. Thanks for the fast reply. Also here is an image of the setting that i am trying to get. I will also test the mic on another computer that has realtek if i can find one.
  2. My laptop Asus ROG GL552 GTX 950m i7 4720 2x8GB Ram Windows 10 So i got this USBMIC to use for recording voice. When i was testing it i could here static all the time. So i tried changing the boost that people said to change but i could not find it even though people who were using the same mic had the setting. I looked around some forums and they said that i needed "realtek" drivers to get the option. But no matter what i tried, i could not get "realtek" it to work even after trying to disable SmartAudio. I have SmartAudio that came pre-installed on my laptop. I just want to have this setting and/or get a program that allows me to change this setting while recording to stop static. I have looked for hours and can't fix it plz send help! Thank you.
