  1. I’m hoping for more Ruben Mobile PCs to be announced. It completely destroys iGPUs on Intel’s side.
  2. I don't have a GPU yet, but I may get a GTX 1050 so I would have G-Sync. I would use HDMI or DisplayPort
  3. I really hope the craze dies down soon, as its making it quite hard to build an PC at the moment. But its probably gonna last through 2018.
  4. Ah thanks. Are Altcoins still in demand after a lot of whats been happening with NiceHash?
  5. Hello, I am in need of a new monitor to play 1080p games on! I don't have too much money, and am hoping to spend less than 80 dollars on it. I know this is a little bit of a stretch, but I really don't have much money in the budget to get my machine. Any help?
  6. Hello, I was wondering why there is so much Markup for AMD Graphics Cards. Even the RX 560/460 or even the 550 have huge markups compared to a lot of the Nvidia options that I am looking at. I would like to get a 560 or a GTX 1050 or a GT 1030/RX 550, but I don't know if I have an option on the AMD side due to the markup. Anywhere I can look to see a decently priced AMD low/midranged card? Thanks.
  7. I mean, eventually it might fall, although I sincerely doubt that it will fall back under 1000 dollars. Its gonna still be high for a while IMO.
  8. You just need Soldering skills. You get the PCB, and the Key Switches, a Case, and your Keycaps. Solder the switches to the PCB, put the PCB in the case, put the caps on the switches and you're good.
  9. I just realized that most modern GPUs have the same amount or more of RAM in computers like this.
  10. Hey man, don't worry I am using an Intel Atom tablet as my daily driver. I do play some games on it too! If you need a GPU, get a GTX 1050 or if that has too much power draw, then the GT 1030.
  11. You know, I would like an OS review/roundup. It's different than the usual, but it could be useful to people who are building a PC and may want to change things up a little.
  12. Hello there! I have a question, would it be worth it to build a TKL keyboard or to buy one? I would prefer having Brown Switches, but they don't have to be official Cherry. Any recommendations if I want to buy one or any parts you would recommend to build? I am looking for something under 100 US dollars, which make it hard.
  13. If Ryzen Mobile happens to be any good, I may have to look into it. We still don't have any accurate benchmarks yet, correct?
  14. Hello, I am on a FIRST Robotics Competition team and am beginning to learn C++. Any tips for me? What I'm doing is pretty simple stuff (programming robots) compared to a lot of projects, but any tips are welcome! Thanks!
  15. Looks similar in size to my case. Nice!
  16. So I have been wondering, what are some tiny cases you could use for HTPC or similar applications? I personally have an HP Elite 8200, and am putting a Graphics card in it. I haven't completed it yet, still need a lot of the parts, but what about you guys?
  17. Could I use an external HDD?
  18. Heyo! I've seen SteamOS and wanted to use it as a dual boot for a HTPC for the sake of simplicity when launching games. However, I also need full Windows for the sake of running CAD and other software. Any recomendations for this, as it seems to be that SteamOS wipes hard drives clean when installed.
  19. With the advent of Windows on ARM (I know, different processor stuffs like x86 where the XBOX is) it shows that it IS possible, but it requires a ton of diligent work. If someone was to put XBOXOS on a PC, then we might see what drivers are necessary for it. Its possible, but difficult.
  20. So I am getting parts for my PC, and I might replace the old XBOX One with it in my theatre room. If I do, is it possible to use a DualShock 3/4 or a XBOX One Controller for average use? If you guys could reccomend a small wireless Keyboard and Mouse that isn't gamery, that would be great, as I would love to play some Quake from time to time. Thanks y'all!
  21. To me, the main one that gets me worried about the 1030 is DOOM. I just want a stable 50 FPS or so, but DOOM worries me for that. I have always used Intel HD Graphics, so anything is a step up. I mean, who doesn't love Shadow Warrior at 800 x 600 with the frame rate of 25 FPS average when not in combat?
  22. Hello there! I have a question for you all, is the GTX 1050 ($110) a great enough improvement in performance to warrant spending an extra $40 on it compared to the GT 1030 ($72)? All I really want is decent 720p Med-High settings in games. I like that the GT 1030 has a low TDP, and that it has decent performance when you tweak games. I like the thermals and more importantly, I need the Low Profile form factor. The GTX 1050 is 40 more dollars at least where I live, meaning its like buying 1.5 GT 1030s. And the GTX 1050 TI is way outta my budget range, as I don't have much money to spend and still need to factor in peripherals an SSD, 4 more gigs of RAM and a monitor. Is the GTX 1050 worth spending an extra $40 on at this time?
  23. Sorry! 300 Watts. But I can't attach a 6 pin connector. The 1050 Ti is probably the best thing it can handle.
  24. Heyo! I wanted to say some good iOS games y'all with iPhones can play! This is mostly paid games, as you generally have a hard time finding free games here. Although there are some if you dig deep! Starting off with an RPG, The Quest is a great game with a surprising amount of content. Not only that, but there is a free version to see if you like it! The icon will be a Skull. If you want the most content for the price, get the Quest Classic Gold. This game has add ons and expansions galore, so if you want a game with tons to do for the price, you can't go wrong with The Quest! Next, I'll go over 3 fantastic Rougelikes. 1: Wayward Souls. This game is a high skill game, that gets its name from being similar to Dark Souls in premise. You have to dodge and block enemy attacks if you want to survive for a little while. It's also a Hat Collector, if your into that kind of thing! (No, it's not a microtransaction either!) 2: Death Road to Canada. This is a wonderfully wacky and difficult game. You have one goal. Get to Canada. Only a few thousand zombies are in the way! You can take only a few bites before your character does, but it's surprisingly lighthearted. For example, one event will be where someone farts in the car. Who did it? Another is where your character has to sneeze, and if he/she doesn't, their morale is broken. It's wacky, it's difficult, it's a good time. 3: The Binding of Issac. This game is not for those who are religious, as there are heavy overtones in this game. But if you are fine with that, then you get one of the most fun and satisfying to beat games ever. Except you never really beat it. Every run is different, making it interesting. I still haven't beaten mega-Satan yet! It's difficult but fair. 4: one more for good measure! Pixel Dungeon is a Rougelike where you have to collect the Amulet of Yendor. It's turn based unlike the others, and it's plenty of fun once you understand the mechanics. Beating a boss for the first time is satisfying as heck. Grind games: these are time syncs, so remember that. Terraria: everyone knows this one, so I don't really need to say much. Crashlands: this game embodies the grind. I spent 50 hours on it between steam and mobile and didn't beat it. However, the entire time is fun. You have to slay monsters, build a base (completely optional really) and collect resources. It's good looking, it's fun, and I really had a good time with it. Strategy: I only have 1 I really can reccomend, which is XCOM: Enemy Within. This is the full game plus DLC of XCOM Enemy Unknown! It's a difficult game, so be prepared for losing. Do you think I am missing anything? Post it if I did! Edit: Added images of the games I play! Sorry but DOOM got taken off the App Store since it's 32 bit. I still have iOS 10.
