Hi, a friend uses MS Office on Mac. They bought the standalone perpetual license a couple of years ago - not the Office 365 subscription. They have a number of local folder set up and move mails there to archive them. In a recent update MS replaced the "new Outlook" client. When they now select a mail and then click on "move..." in the ocntext menu, the local folders, which are still there, do not show up. Does anyone have an idea how to fix that? Mav

Hi, I have a similar problem. I have not upgraded my storage because I back up my photos separately. So the 5 GB were enough space to back up my phone and my iPad for years. Suddenly my phone reports a backup size of over 5gb. Then I turned all the apps off and it dropped below 5GB but still 4.5 i don’t have that iCloud backup settings option to backup the full phone (that would be like 60GB ) mentioned. I have no idea what the 4.5 geb could be. I also could not find anything on the web except for one guy saying he uninstalled and reinstalled the files app because it still had airdrop files in there that were backed up. That did not solve it though. also I have a second phone with the same backup settings but a different iCloud Account and there the size is 400mb. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

Hi, I have an Unraid NAS for a couple of months now. I do not want it to be accessible from the outside to minimize the risk of being hacked Among other things I installed Vaultwarden in a docker container and that#s when my problems started vaultwarden needs https, and to enable this you need a reverse proxy. So I installed Nginx and configured it to get a let's encrypt certificate. For that the NAS needs to be visible from outside. I looked into creating my own CA and SSL certificates and ran into one problem after another. I think now I amat a point where I almost figured it out but I hit a wall. So I created a CA and a certificate, that has all my subdomains in the SAN entry. I installed the certificate chain on the Unraid srever and also on my clients so now when I access the Unraid GUI the connection is secure. I also added the certificate to Nginx and configured the connection for vaultwarden to use it. Nginx is running on 192.168.0.84 Vaultwarden on 192.168.0.82:4545 the DNS (using pihole) entry vaultwarden.home points to 192.168.0.84 When I now access the URL https://vaultwarden.home I get the error bad gateway. I have no idea why this is not working. When I access vaultwarden using http://192.168.0.82:4545 I hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction. Cheers, Mav

Thanks for all the help, With that information I changed my fan curve so it is very quiet when doing low key stuff. I did not realize that 3000RPM is twice as mauhc as "normal" fans for which the default curves were probably designed.

Hi, i just built a new PC and I cannot get the fans under control, they are so loud, it is almost impossible to be in the same room with it, even with lite loads like installing software or a steam game. I just started playing with the fan curves but haven’t gotten anywhere. Here are the specs: Ryzen 9 5900x asrock x570 Phantom Gaming 4 32 gig RAM from corsair MSI Rtx 3080 I used an Alpha cool Eisbär 280 With 2 Noctua A14 PPC 3000 PWM On it connected to one fan header via an y cable 2 more of the above fans separately connected directly in the case thebcpu runs at under 60C on the desktop amd the fans already loud but bearable. Ideally I would want them not noticeable then. Then you start an installation and they start ramping up like I were mining Bitcoin. i appreciate any help with this situation. thanks.

Sorry for replying so late. I will try your point about plugging in a cheap keyboard. the weird thing is, I used the kB on another pc with ghub installed, and did not encounter the problem. I did not type that much on it. Now I built a completely new pc, and there I find that especially the later s wil not type at all until I make sure to type very slowly

Hi, I have a Loigitech G810 mechanical keyboard taht is about three years old. It started having double or tripple inputs for one keypress. I took all the keys off cleaned it thouroughly, but the problem still persists. Does anybody have an idea what causes this and if it can be fixed? Cheers, Mav.

I probably had it because it is a migrated Win 7 license.

That indeed did it, I uninsstalled the original one, rebooted, still did not work.This I expected though because now I had no codec insstalled. I installed the 1$ codec and it worked again right away, without rebooting. Still annoying I guess this iss why people prefer apple. I had the codec installed and it still does not work. That'ss not even mentioning the weird fact of removing that feature from the OS and charging for it.

I was thinking of trying that but thout I might loosse the original one then as you cannot download it anymore, But I guesss at thiss point it does not really matter.

Hi, I am having a weird issue.I have been using Davincie Resolve (Free version, current version 16.2.7) for years now. Mostly for small home video projects. I have already edited tons of iPhone footage with no problem. My PC is a little older but with optimized media, editing is OK i7 4790 k 8GB RAM GTX970 My Windows installation apparently had the HEVC Manufacturer codec already installed. Today I accidentally installed the HEVC codec, I bought from MS for another system. Since then all my H265 footage shows as "Media Offline" in Resolve. I uninstalled the bought codec (the original one is still there) rebooted and reinstalled resolve but it still does not work. I have another machine with a clean Windows installation where I also installed the 0,99c HEVC codec and there I can see that footage in resolve. I hope anyone can help me with this.

Hi, I recently bought a AIMOS HDMI KVM Switch. I have a logitech mechanical keyboard and I have the problem, that when it is connected to the switch offen keypresses register multiple times. Is this a problem with the KVM or can I fix it somehow? Cheers, Mav
