I used this old PC build a while ago maybe 2-3 years ago was never able to get a graphics card till about 2 summers ago, so my PC contains all this builds parts
Im trying to understand how to better utalize my current graphics card which is an Gtx 1070, this one to be more specific (https://www.ebay.com/i/332169478061?chn=ps). I am wondering am I in anyway harming my GPU by "Bottlenecking" it ? I just found out about this term dont know too much about it besides what linus says in this video
If I am harming it should I swap to a different GPU for a while just to be able to play other games besides the few that I am running to get an overall better FPS with no stutters and what not? I figure most of my game stutters are either coming from lack of a games optimization or because of my current build. Also if I should start rebuilding it what are some of the best parts to start working with? Will I have to do a complete rebuild also? I want to upgrade my PC since im not really satisfied with how it is running now with games like PUBG, Dead by daylight and Heros of the storm (from time to time). I want to eventually branch out and try to find some new games to like and enjoy but I dont want to harm how long the PC will last since 500$ on a GPU aint no joke for me. Just need second opinions since Ive been using the card for almost 2 years now. Im working around the graphics card live in the U.S and pretty much use my PC from everything to surfing the web to hours of gaming.. Eventually maybe I want to even start streaming also. Eventually maybe I want 3 monitors but thats way out of my price range so I can work with the one I have now.
