So, you're saying that you're fine with stealing from other people, as long as you can make a buck out of it? That doesn't give a particularly flattering image of you as a person.

Who here remembers when @Morgan MLGman brought to our attention what was still an "innovation" back then as the Mining tendency was still exploding and every one needed to jump right into it?
The original idea was quite alright, in shorts you'd mine through their client and Games From Space would keep the actual mined coins (didn't disclosed which coin your GPU was actually mining) and reward the user 'points' instead.

This way any one regardless how "noob" you were about mining could jump right into it with little to no hassle, mining through their client was extremely easy and the points system that could be used to get games for "free" was very straight forwards, the game selection was quite alright and you'd receive serial keys to activate said games on popular platforms like Steam:

So to minors or simply people not interested with the issues of an e-wallet and go through the means to withdraw the coins as actual money could still put their hardware to use for decent games in exchange.

All of this however is over about half a year later as due to the constant crashes of cryptocurrencies, decrease in popularity as a whole has pushed this business into unsustainable levels, their shutting down notice was sent through e-mail to all those who registered to it and is as follow:

Sometimes you have the best ideas… at the wrong time.

Due to the current circumstances (value of crypto dropping drastically), it is not possible for us to continue operating Games from Space. Unfortunately, the added value for all of us, is no longer there. Therefore, after much deliberation, we had to decide that we will close down Games from Space.
We want to thank each and every one of you for your trust, thank you for starting this journey together with us, it was a pleasure!
Please spend your remaining Space Coins until the 18th of January - then we will turn off the servers and go offline.
It was an honor for us to fly with you, we hope you enjoyed the ride with us!
A very special thank you to Blair (Beaker), Mark (DeathMetallic) and Cameron! It wouldn’t have been possible without you.
    All the best from Berlin,
Amir, Nik, Tom, Mot & Viktor ~ Games From Space Team.

It seems that mining is now getting behind us and will eventually be just a salty remembrance in the minds of gamers.

Spongy141 reacted to AlTech in Spotify screws over Premium Users and lets Free users use Spotify Connect
Spotify is screwing over Premium users and giving Free users access to Spotify Connect. Spotify Connect has been a Premium only feature since it launched many years ago but now Spotify has decided to bring it to the Free tier and in the process screws over Premium customers.

Free users will need their Wi-Fi enabled speakers to receive a firmware update before they can start using this on speakers.

I'm very dissapointed with this and throughout this year I feel like the amount of perks that Premium offers has been reduced. I'm not entirely sure why considering it is the 20% (Premium Customers) who are providing 80% of the revenue whilst the 80% (Free Users) provide only 20% of the revenue. Seems like Spotify's got their priorities the wrong way around.

Cloudflare is getting into the Registrar Business and is promising dirt cheap domain.

They want to sell domain names at no profit and just sell domains at the price it costs to register one with a TLD and ICANN.

They're allegedly doing this because they believe Registrars currently charge a huge Markup for being middlemen and the CEO allegedly feels strongly about it.

I'm genuinely interested as to why they're persuing this if it's not gonna make them profit. The only way this makes business sense would be that customers who signup for this may eventually spend money on profitable products and in the short term this gives them good PR.
