HOOTSMON reacted to Mick Naughty in Horizontal pump/res combi mounting. Safe?
Works the exact same as vertical. Only problem is filling the loop unless you set the case in a way that the pump is vertical while bleeding, which you should.
If not, once the fluid level drops near half you have to fill the res back up so it doesnt go below the inlet.

HOOTSMON got a reaction from Blackjack1336 in What Monitor to pair with an RTX 2070 super
If you like RPG games a nice 3440x1440, 34" Ultrawide would be nicer than a normal 27".

HOOTSMON got a reaction from OfficialTechSpace in warzone 7.1 surround sound gsx 1000 and gsp 550
The best option is not to use the virtual 7.1. Use 2 channel stereo for the best audio quality if that what you're after.
this is a fact.
the software in virtual 7.1 makes the sound degraded.
If you want the best audio experience use stereo. 7.1 in a headset is just bad.
i have GSP 670, HD598 and Beardynamic DT 1990 pro and ive use the Turtlebeah DSS2, also razor 7.1 software. Nothing compares to stereo, 7.1 is a gimmick.

HOOTSMON reacted to Firewrath9 in Using a wireless phone charger to charge a mouse.
If the mouse supports Qi wireless charging, yes.

HOOTSMON reacted to Mira Yurizaki in Using a wireless phone charger to charge a mouse.
The mouse only supports Logitech's standard. So unless you find a charger that supports it and phones, it won't work.

HOOTSMON got a reaction from TempestCatto in The Loot Box problem
true, but they are manipulating people without the standards the things you mentioned are subjected to. Remember the parents may not understand what the kids are doing. its imprinting a gambling habit they would not be otherwise subjected to.

Minitool lets you clone the drive completely to another drive (Including OS drives, but it requires a restart). What I would do is clone both old drives individually to both new drives, then move sata ports so new drive 1 is where old drive 1 was plugged in, new drive 2 where old 2 etc etc.

HOOTSMON reacted to Radium_Angel in 10 vs 7
Many reasons.
(1) Built-in Telemetry (aka, spyware)
(2) The UI, went from known (the UI for Windows was practically identical from 1995 onward to Win7) to a fragmented mess that is Win10
(3) Artificial limitations of DirectX.
(4) Forcing an "upgrade" to Win10 using very underhanded tactics (which stinks of malware tactics)
(5) It has not been shown to be superior to Win7, except in a few edge cases
That's just for starters....

HOOTSMON reacted to GoodBytes in 10 vs 7
You always have a group of people who don't like the new version of Windows, and say how the older version of Windows is better.
All I get to say, is try what you want, make your own opinion on things. And old software version always, eventually, even open source project, get terminated.
It also human nature to not like change. You see this on every software. Web browser has a new look, you have a group of people not liking this new change, calling the end of the web browser in question, only to have its market share increased.

HOOTSMON got a reaction from Giganthrax in Aesthetics: Is it worth the money?
My point is you imply aesthetic builds are out to prove something buts that's not always the case. You word it like you're hating on some kind of PC hipsters, which do exist. Having something nice to look at in a space in the home that also has other things you deem aesthetic however doesn't imply
Custom loops and the like improve performance but the nature of the beast dictates they look quite fancy. Would you avoid an upgrade based on it looking too aesthetic? You know GPU/CPU blocks? I bet if you went through the efforts of bending hard tubing and fitting a res, your efforts would have you stand back and think to yourself "damn, that look goooood!"
be honest now! lol
