Not sure if this will change your plans, but the RTX 2070 is not supposed to be released until October (Source: NVIDIA).

Its hard to say anything for a specs list so far since we don't really know what will bottleneck those new GPU's, but you do need atleast a 650W PSU and your likely better off with a newer gen CPU.

Yep, more then likely its your fans starting to go bad since they are cheaply made. You can press down with a finger on the fan bearings until it stops spinning, and the noise should stop (Unless you have more then one bad, but it should go more quite in that case). You can contact Cyberpower for fan replacements and they send them for free. I've replaced 3 fans so far though, and they are starting to go bad again so if you don't want to change them out every few months and you don't want to contact cyberpower every time your better off buying some better fans off newegg, etc..

Yeah but when you actually add a 2080ti to the cart it shows 22th October as the shipping date. Might be because of high demand though, who knows.

And what if something unfortunate might happen to your 1060 6 GB card that requires it to be RMAed to EVGA... Imagine such a situation though... ;-)

For its price (depending on when you bought it ofc) the 1060 6GB is a great card for 1080p gaming. But if you can get a 1070ti at a price you're happy with...then there is no comparison. Grab that 1070ti and run!

Choose model not brand, every brand has good and bad products

Although you are against having AMD, i encourage you into looking more into the HP Envy x360 with a Ryzen APU. The graphics chip in those processors actually hold up pretty well in games. Moreover, the touchscreen and pen that this laptop comes with would be pretty useful for annotating notes and slides in school.

Both of those options require their own control system either with the HUE+ for Corsair Link via their lighting node pro which comes in three pack and dual pack kits.

I have the lighting node pro and 6 Corsair hd, but apart from less led they should be pretty much the same. The setup is not difficult but keep in mind there will lots of wires around. Each fan has 2 wires, one classic and one for the led. In order to use the light effect you have to connect the led wires to a controller, which then has to be connected to the lighting node pro. The lighting node pro also requires a usb cable (to control the lighting from the pc) and a sata power. If you don't have the lighting node pro you can only choose between a few effects from a manual controller, not from the pc (at least for the hd series).

So difficult no, but it requires some space and cable management.
Also each fan controller supports up to 6 fans, and the lighting node can be connected max to 2 of these controllers.

Apart from this, the lighting effects are pretty good!

Ps in order to control the brightness or turn off the leds you need the lighting node pro

Yeah, I think they only announced them a couple of weeks ago. I think it might be another couple weeks before they start shipping them to stores, but I do not regret for one second buying this monitor. I also got it on sale for around $320 CAD, the cheapest 1080p 144Hz monitor I could find around here :P, it is pretty good though.

The way G-Sync works is that unlike AMD's freesync, Nvidia makes companys pay to be able to use that technology in there monitors and laptop screens and such, and that in turn drives the price up on those products a bit. I have a 1080p 144Hz Monitor from MSI that has FreeSync and I use it on a GTX 1060 6GB and I find it works just fine, and I only notice screen tearing when I am really looking for it, unlike in my old 60Hz HP monitor where you could see the screen tearing all the time. Now with saying that if you are interested, MSI makes newer monitors now that are either 2K or 4K, and they look and act much better then the one I have now if that is what you would be interested in, still no G-Sync options though.
