  1. im not 100% on that. i need 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol though? i think i already have some. Can i use cotton balls on the bottom of the cpu? and should i use some bayonette tweezers on the motherboard?
  2. should i try removing it though? i have someone offering me anohter 1156 board, for 30 bucks.
  3. inside the socket. i heard that it isnt conductive though so i dont know.
  4. what are the specs anyways. gaming performance is actually better on win10. its proven just look it up on youtube.
  5. okay, im sorry i didnt respond sooner. i did forget to mention that i did happen to get thermal paste in the motherboard socket a few months ago. well it wasnt really mine, i noticed it before i replace the old tp that was on it when i got it. it is still there, hardened up and stuff, but i dont have a tool to get it out. i will take those suggestions though and do them when i get home
  6. yeah, everything looks normal, I'm just confused, yes I'm an ammeter. first computer
  7. okay ill order it tomorrow. but could it not be the mobo, maybe the cpu? I'm sure the psi works, and the mobo works, but whats making it not spin the fans or show up on screen.
  8. no, how much is the beeper and where can I get it?. also no, I odnt have pictures, I don't have a phone, and MacBooks have terrible cameras, and I don't have good lighting ( I live downstairs)
  9. I got what I thought was a good craigslist deal. I got that mobo, with 1 stick of ddr3 ram (8 gb) i7-860, AMD HD 7770,. 40$, not half bad. im hoping its repairable, but if it isn't, I know. a guy who is willing to sell me another mobo, with an i7- 9**. for like $30. I just bought an antic three hundred two as well. and yes the 8 pin is in, I did notice the one of half of the 8 pin was out so I reseated it, but I'm still confused.
  10. But it doesn't work. the motherboard lights up, (the power and reset button). the fans don't spin, the graphics card fans don't spin. the case doesn't light up, and the power supply doesn't light up. I've unplugged, replugged a,d done it a million times over. parts are in my description.
  11. I believe it is called “get help” or something, it’s in the bottom left thing. Also, the support people deleted stuff out of my windir folder, without any problems afterwards, but if you are worried, I’d recommend the support.
  12. I think the file was called like windir. go to run (windows key + r) and type windir. Go through that and there is a folder called like update thing. I found 200gb of an old update in there before. if your having trouble, use the built in windows 10 support. They have saved my ass numerous times when I couldn’t delete certain folders, and helped me regain my storage numerous times. Best part is that it is free.
  13. All of them have wierd reviews. Can you help me?

  15. If I were to buy an OTG cable for any iOS device, would it allow me to plug in my keyboard and mouse, or do Apple products only work.
  16. Well, like watercool your gpu, and have this on the side. Like an extra -2 degrees Celsius.
  17. Yeah except in a separate pcie slot.
  18. I had a bright idea, while watching techlinked, and thought about cooling every part of a computer (ram cooler, hard drive cooler,) and looked up GPU Coolers, and I’m not talking about an aftermarket shroud to put on it, but like a part similar looking to a gpu, that you can plug in to the pcie slot next to the gpu, and cools it. Do they already make them? Am I blind?

    Input needed from my

Adata SSDs are cheap, but have mediocre quality. Anything name brand I’d say would work, don’t do anything super slow either, look up the speeds. for sure you don’t want to use king Dian, dogfish, biwin or silicon power.
  20. Is mouse usb? Try disconnecting the usb headers, cleaning, and plugging gn them back in.
