Mercuryaces got a reaction from Ben17 in Fans revving up before sleep
So ever since I installed these new 4 pin fans I noticed that just before my computer goes to sleep they rev up and then the computer goes to sleep, after which the fans stop. Is this normal behavior or something I should be concerned about?

So I just screwed through some radiator fins.... not much, I used a long screw, screwed through a fan to reach the screw hole on the other side that leads to radiator and missed it and screwed through radiator fins... am I “screwed”?

Mercuryaces reacted to Imbellis in Is this a good enough power supply?
As for wattage, that should be fine.
If you haven't taken a look at the PSU Tier List, I'd recommend it. (Your PSU seems to be a Tier 3)
That seems to be a good price for it too. Other lowest price I've found was $59 on Newegg.

i think it's normal and i think it's fine...if you can improve case airflow it could be better maybe?
Also, if the card isn't too loud yet, you might want to increase your fancurve a little bit...but 82c is fine i wouldnt worry about it.

Ahh its a single fan card. This is probably about what you should expect.

Yeah, that happened to my old cooler a lot and I didn't have any problems with it. As long as you didn't get it all over the socket or the CPU pins you're pretty good.

just tinker with it.
set it to somewhere in the middle, and if it's too loud, lower speeds -- conversely, if it's too hot, increase speeds.
there's no perfect fan curve, you have to experiment and see what's right for you.

Mercuryaces reacted to Froody129 in Normal Fan Noise?
Hmm, there doesn't seem to be anything really terrible in your PC that would cause noise. I think it's all normal, just cheapish fans.

Mercuryaces reacted to Froody129 in Normal Fan Noise?
Case? Cpu cooler? GPU and the cooler? It sounds ok, probably just a bad fan

No what cooler is it on what CPU and what GPU with what cooler

Mercuryaces got a reaction from Cyracus in Is my system running like it should?
Thank you so much... I'm a total nubie to this whole pc thing, just built my first rig. Turning vsync off just threw me to over 130 fps.
