  1. - Froze - Froze - Windows freshly installed, drivers disabled then enabled, uninstalled then reinstalled, still froze. - OK... How can I test that? - Froze Any other ideas?
  2. It's not the PSU. It froze again around 25 minutes into Shadow of Mordor... What can I try next? The PC I built for the livingroom has a ASUS HD7750-1GD5-V2 AMD Radeon HD and a Gigabyte AM3+ AMD DDR3 1333 760G HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX Motherboard. Can I swap the motherboard and test it with the 760, and then test the original motherboard with the 7750?
  3. It froze after 25 minutes into Shadow of Mordor. I used my room fan, blowing a lot of air to the entire motherboard. I just swapped the PSU and I'm trying with the 500W from EVGA...
  4. CrystalDiskInfo shows: Good 100% Health Status for the SSD, Good (No %?) for the HD. Do you mean pointing a case fan to the mosfets? Because I also have a big fan in my room and I can use that but it will throw air to the entire motherboard.
  5. I'll give it a try with the other PSU because, who knows.., that might be it. Added info to original post: * I never overclocked (I'm lazy), both the processor and the GPU have always run (ran? ) at stock speeds. * Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2)
  6. I have a EVGA 500B 500W 80PLUS Bronze Certified around... could that be enough to power my PC?
  7. Hey guys, I need help with this problem I'm having. My PC keeps freezing mostly while I play games. It just freezes without BSOD, mouse and keyboard won't respond anymore and the only way to bring it back is to hit the reset button. It usually happens after playing 5 to 30 minutes in games like Borderlands 2, Shadow of Morder and even in LoL. I've already tried resintalling Windows from scratch, and it did not help. I never overclocked (I'm lazy), both the processor and the GPU have always run in stock speeds. Thanks for the help!
  8. My favorite item is the case itself, since it will hold almost everything I'll win on this giveaway lol
  9. The screen... the way it looks like a top tier device! That's why I want it!!
  10. I was thinking about that mobo most of all because of the price range, not really if it was matx or not. But if I decide to get a matx, I'll ge this one. Thanks for your input! And I'll start looking into 990fx boards to see what my options could be
  11. What's normally the price difference between a LGA1155 and a AM3+ mb? Budget ones that could allow me to OC
  12. Wow, 6 replies already and I just went downstairs to get a glass of water... Thanks! From what you've commented, I'm thinking about getting the 8350 over the 6300. I just need to look for the MB... I'm thinking about $600 - $750. We get Windows from our school so that's already taken care of, and chances are the other parts of the build will be the same regardless of the MB, CPU and MB. Besides gaming, I might compile school projects with Visual Studio, but I'm under the impression that the difference between CPUs might be just a couple of seconds faster... It's not like I'm compiling and entire OS just yet
  13. Hey guys It's the first time I'm building a gaming computer and I'm on a budget. I'm currently gaming on an i7 laptop with the Intel HD 4000, which makes every game I play playable, but I'm looking to upgrade to a desktop rig for gaming... What I currently have researched and settled on, are these parts: AMD FX 6300 @ $109.99 Gigabyte AM3+ Micro ATX Motherboard GA-78LMT-USB3 @ $63.24 EVGA GeForce GTX760 Superclocked @ $259.99 I guess that because how cheap that motherboard is, it would not allow me to OC, even though I'm not planning on do so right away. I wanted to see if you could help me answer some questions: 1- What other AM3+ MB could I pick that would allow me to OC in the future? 2- I was thinking about spending the extra $80 to get an AMD FX 8350... is that worth it considering the price of a 3750k? ($189.99 vs $199.99). 3- If it would actually be better to jump to a 3750k, what budget MB could I get that would allow me to OC in the future? PS: I need to buy the parts from Amazon.com PS #2: I'm planning on playing on a single 24'' monitor or 32'' LED TV, at 1080p. Sorry for all these questions. I really hope you can help me! Thanks!
