  1. yes i know but i gave it a try just in case it really was the monitor i updated them, still same thing
  2. there are some but im a total newbie when it comes to all that so i havent given a try, someone else in another forum told me to give another monitor/tv to narrow the problem and heres what happened so here are my tries and i am more confused than ever, mb hdmi to tv = 1 in 5 yes mb hdmi to monitor = 1 in 3 yes gpu hdmi to monitor = 5 in 5 yes gpu dvi to monitor = 2 in 5 yes (but only if i have hdmi cable plugged in as well but if i toggle inputs the dvi input freezes up and wont open windows) gpu hdmi to tv = 3 in 3 yes
  3. bumping, i tried to use an hdmi cable and use it on the motherboard, it worked like a charm but after i came back from work today the same problem persisted and took several tries before i was able to make it turn on
  4. So I recently got this problem with my monitor ( Acer Predator XB271HU Abmiprz 27-inch WQHD (2560x1440) NVIDIA G-SYNC Monitor ) Whenever i turn my computer, it will not turn on unless I try it several times, everything seems to be working whenever it actually does and there seems to be no problems whatsoever, I have to admit I havent cleaned it in about 2 months but sometimes I've done it for 3 or 4 with no mishaps. The monitor turns on and logo displays for a few seconds, the options can be tweaked like normal, i even changed the display and power cables but to no avail. Whenever it turns on I try to monitor temperatures thinking it might be my graphics card but nothing seems out of the ordinary. These are my specs I-8700k Asrock fatality z370 k6 Msi seahawk ek x1080 gtx with another ek block 16 gb ram 250 ssd 2 1tb hdds Corsair rmx 850 Any help or suggestions would be immensely helpful
  5. It has a few cracks and id rather not risk it to be honest, i was also using primochill vue for a few months so its probably full of gunk
  6. Changing my gpu block, its an msi 1080 seahawk ek and couldn't find anything on their compatibility list. http://www.performance-pcs.com/water-blocks-gpu/ek-fc-geforce-gtx-fe-nickel-plexi-water-block-for-geforce-1060-1070-1080-1080ti-titanx-pascal-and-titan-xp.html Would this one work? The customer service rep who answered my email said that i could use this one https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc1080-gtx-tf6-nickel But it doesnt cover the whole card like the one i currently have and i aldo dont know if i can reuse the backplate or if i need a new one, any input is welcomed thanks in advance.
  7. I bought it a few months ago but i honestly wouldnt be able to wait till they repair it, ive seen some of their blocks and the specifications but none list this gpu as one of them
  8. Hi there, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section, but here goes... I have an MSI 1080 Seahawk EK gpu and noticed that there seems to be quite a few cracks on it. I used Primochill Vue when I built my rig, I've been told that its supposedly not a long term coolant as it was first described. It has built up some gunk here and there and I was going to clean it, but since there are a few cracks on it, I was thinking about replacing it. Is there an specific gpu block that I should use, or just any old block that will fit a 1080, will I have to buy a backplate as well? Thank you in advance.
  9. Could be, I'm not absolutely sure honestly, and thank you.
  10. No i did not, I thought it'd be fine if I were to just leave it for a bit while I tested, some people suggested that it may be oil from the o rings ( I also used olive oil to bend a few tubes) I hope its that, and honestly dont mind it that much since the primochill vue is treated to combat organisms, I'm more worried about the stains on the back of the motherboard. The cables are from cablemod for corsair rmx, I really like the way they look, its a shame I couldnt find any cable combs to go along with them.
  11. I used distilled water for leak testing, using primochill vue uv purple for gpu and uv blue for cpu
  12. I read around in quite a few forums, that they generally get along nicely (copper & nickel). I dont have any aluminum on board except for the enermax neochanger pumps, but supposedly thats anodized. Each loop has an alphacool full copper radiator, while the card blocks are nickel, im using xspc black nickel fittings
  13. I was going to finish the cabling on my build and drained the loop so I could add primochill vue (I added distilled water to leak test, dont have a lot of primochill so I'd rather not waste it in case I had a leak). After I drained the loop I found some yellowish liquid leftover in the gpu/cpu block, I opened the reservoir and smelled it to see if it had a weird odor but it had none whatsoever. I figured it was due to some dirt or perhaps some algae growing already since I had left the reservoirs open while running, and was hoping vue would kill it or dissolve it. While going through my cables, I noticed a little drop of water on the motherboard, and what looked like soaked in water, I looked underneath to see if there was anything resembling a puddle but I didnt see anything. I had paper towels all over where the fittings were and on parts where water would have dripped. When I removed the paper towels, not a single one was wet and/or damp. I built this rig in a room near the bathroom (if that counts for something) I also ran the loop for testing for nearly 3 days ( 4 hours each day) with the reservoirs open because I had to work and couldnt afford keeping watch all day. Please help me out, I'd rather not dismantle it; but if its necessary, then I will. Thank you in advance.
  14. Just wanted to add for the future in case someone's looking for an answer regarding Enermax pumps, although they might not be D5s, I've kept them running for about an hour so far at 2500 rpm; and they are still cool to the touch. Sorry but I never mentioned anything regarding AIOs, I just wanted to know if I kept running my pumps for a long time to do a leak test, while keeping the fans off (its a pain to hook them up right now since i have about 10 or so)
