  1. Yeah completely fair, after Madison's allegations came out leaving it in when it's easy to remove a 5 second bit seems a lil... bad timing
  2. Agreed on the pricing thing, that was a big "oopsie" and should never have happened if the block makers wanted that to be a private matter. I don't, however, agree on addressing Madison's claims in the same video. Addressing one thing at a time is probably best, as in: make a seperate video and/or statement, and especially with SA alligations you need to take your time to figure out what happened. If they reshot to include those alligations, it would most likely be rushed out, and anyone who said the video was "tone-deaf" would more than likely be thinking worse. I think we've all seen what happens when companies rush responses to SA alligations; it's never a good response, and it usually upsets everyone more. Perhaps an LMG staff member (Terren would probably be the best option for this) or the LTT account on Twitter could have said "Hey, we see these accusations, we're gonna take our time with this one to figure out what happened, we're not ignoring it" assuming they're acting in good faith, maybe they aren't, not my place to say, but I'm speaking from a perspective of "this is what would happen best-case-scenario." Silly jokes, as much as it can be interpreted as "tone-deaf," they show, to me, at least, that LMG is no longer responding out of defensive emotion, but rather from a calculated & cool (emotionally, not "cool" as in "hey that's cool") place. Calculated can be good, or bad, depending on the response, but I think in this case it's for the better; Linus was acting out of defensive emotion at first, and now Yvonne and Terren have stepped in, and they (keyword here:) seem less defensive about this situation. The screwdriver felt off, I'll agree on the LTTStore bit. But the other jokes, they seem alright, on-brand, and show that (most of) everyone's keeping their cool and thinking before speaking. Floatplane was also pretty on-brand, and like it or not, it's not the biggest deal. IMHO it is the smallest thing to cherry-pick right now, when you have a whole watermelon of the SA accusations staring at you. All-in-all, maybe I'm biased. I've watched LTT for 7-8 years, they're the reason I know more about tech than I did before building my PC. Parasocial relationships absolutely play into my viewpoints here, regardless of how much I hate said relationships; they happen anyways. But I also see the errors they've made recently; I don't think not responding to SA alligations hastily is one of them. I'm open to discussion, because again, I could be thinking in a biased manner, and I could be dead wrong about some things. I'm 19, so I'm not an expert on anything, by any means, just sharing my opinion on those things. No hard feelings, not trying to attack you or anybody else saying these things, I only chose this forum reply to quote because it had everything I've been thinking about for multiple hours all at once in it. 3. Alright, thank you for the detailed answer. I'll most likely end up doing the AIC solution in that case.
  4. Apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forum, and for the stupidity of this post, no idea how old my account is but this is very obviously my first time making a post here. The mobo in the part list below isn't set in stone obviously, I just selected it to get an idea of the price. Main question I have is if there's any LGA 1700 motherboard with a thunderbolt port specifically included on the rear I/O, or if I absolutely have to get a case with TB header support, or an expansion card etc, or if USB gen 3.2-2x2 will support an apple thunderbolt display (if so I am incredibly dumb and sorry for this weird ass post) Budget (including currency): ~$1100-ish USD (not including GPU) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite, Rocket League, Minecraft, OBS, Shadowplay, & Vegas Pro are the main ones Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 1440p144fps; I have an existing build I'd be taking the 980ti from, at least temporarily, cause frick buying a new GPU rn lmao, I'd prolly end up buying a 3060ti or if the 4060 is a thing by then maybe that a couple months after building though. Thunderbolt header requirements aren't terribly much of a requirement, but it'd be extremely nice to have, hence why I'm posting here, because I have 2 Apple Thunderbolt Displays my grandparents gave me and right now I can only use them with my Alienware laptop, not my main desktop (which itself is aging rapidly atm, almost 7 years strong)
