  1. I just didnt know who the girl was or why she was so involved in her device lmfao I thought Linus had family visiting town and had to bring them with him and they were super uninterested in scrapyard wars
  2. Thank you Dizmo for raising AND answering any question I may have had, and thank you M.Yurizaki for the support as well! I appreciate the in depth responses and clarifications! I'll likely go with a mid range B360 for now, and when I have the money I'll upgrade to a Z series. I'm no OC master but I'll give it a shot down the road when I have the funding. Thanks LTT community!
  3. Newegg Canada is showing a decently substantial price difference between B360 and Z370, this mobo would be a temp solution until I am in a better financial position to upgrade. Biggest issue is I'm upgrading motherboard and ram since I'm back in the Z68 chipset era. When I get the money and the chance I plan to delid and LM but that may be a year or so away
  4. So to reiterate, I *understand* that the ideal would be a Z370 however I want to get going on the cheap. I have an old Noctua NH-D14 that I snagged from kijiji for $20 that I plan to use as cooling. Please keep in mind the LOWER THE COST THE BETTER. Thank you Princess Cadence for the info! Second note: if/when Iget the money I WILL upgrade to a z370/z390 but to get up and running ASAP and on the cheap I need to cut corners for now
  5. Hey LMG community! Soooo listen, I entered Intel's 8086k giveaway sweepstakes during computex and it seems I won! However, to run the processor I'll very obviously need to upgrade from my z68/DDR3 era stuff. I am NOT an experienced overclocker and did not *purchase* the CPU (inb4 "U shud hav gotten a cheeeeper 1 dumdum) SO here's my question: will the 8086k still work/perform in a CHEAPER motherboard, ie an H370/B360/H310 chipset? I realize these chipsets DO NOT support overclocking, I am trying to get up and running for the lowest price possible and can save money with these cheaper boards IF they'd work. Pls, keep grouchy comments to yourself. TL;DR poor person won 8086k will it work in a h370/b360/h310 mobo?
