OB-1 Kenobi

Thanks! Since I have never had any experience with DACs or Amps before I had no idea how a cheap amp or DAC would perform so knowing that onboard audio is probably just as good is really useful. I wasn't sure if an Amp was necessary mainly because, on one of the Techquickie videos, it recommended an Amp for headphones with an impedance of greater than 50 ohms and the OB-1 has an impedance of 54 ohms but if onboard audio is capable of driving that then that's fine.

I've been considering purchasing a pair of the Status Audio OB-1 Open Back Studio Monitors due to the low price (just £60 or $80 at the time of writing this) and the great reviews it has been receiving all over the internet it seems. This would be my first pair of monitors and I'm not sure whether I would need to purchase a DAC or an Amp with it in order to get a good sound out of them. If so I would ideally be looking to only get a cheap unit (around £20-30 or $25-40) and are there any you would recommend around this budget. Thanks for any help!
