  1. G910, 3x G900, 2 of which worked on their respective machines, and 1 of those doesn't anymore because dongle security firmware update. No issues at all with the one that's wired 24/7. Since plugging in "bypasses" all the weirdness. Never had problems with the (wired) keyboad. So, I don't know. You tell me...? I'd love for these things to just freaking work properly already... *Update 1: *UPDATE 2, SOLVED: Turns out, just re-pairing the mouse to the same dongle with the Logitech Connection Utility makes it work properly again! Solves the crash in LGS, probably helps GHub as well... No need for a new, unpatched dongle. Those instructions are nowhere to be found! Jeez Logitech, fix your freaking mess... 2 days, down the drain...
  2. Well then, seems like I'm in the same boat, now. LGS always* worked like a charm. Easy to understand. Snappy, fast. With the recent news about the massive security flaw in all Logitech wireless products and why you should have patched the firmware the day before yesterday already to secure your devices (now, hold your horses, read on first), I've done just that. Updating the "unifying" dongle first, all was fine - but updating the, from what I understand equally affected G-Product wireless dongles completely fracked my whole setup over. Nothing works anymore. [UPDATE: Skip rest of post, see next post] Symptoms: The only option for me to keep using my G900 mouse wirelessly with all the productivity macros I had created for it seemed to be using GHub, in the hopes it might work. It didn't. What now... *Tangent and warning
  3. Update: After christmas, new year and holidays was over, I finally had the time to look into this further. I swapped my old battery back in, and Qi works flawlessly. Swapping back to the new one, it doesn't work anymore. I did this with, and without the case each, multiple times even to make sure I didn't do anything different with the new battery, and the only way to have Qi working relieably is with the old battery, no matter if there's an additional case or not - even with the case, Qi starts working before the back even touches the charging plate. Whereas, with the new battery, it doesn't work if the phone is anything other than butt naked leaned against the charging plate. My conclusion, thereby, is that somehow, the new battery is responsible for this issue. But the Qi charging coil is integrated into the backplate of the phone, and not the battery, right?! Other than Qi, the battery works perfectly fine, so what's the cause? I need to know what to look for when looking for another battery that will work with Qi charging! Contacting the seller, I've been told I'm flat out wrong, the battery is not faulty and can't be the issue. They refuse to deal with the issue apart from "send the battery back and get a refund", which is not an option since I had to "abandon ship" on the old one due to capacity issues. I need a replacement, and want to continue using my Qi charging stations with it. Any insights as to what may be the issue and what to look out for...?
  4. Thanks for the response! That can be a battery issue...? Well it seems to be an original one from Nokia, looks pretty much like the one I took out, so if it is a knockoff, it's a great one, visually. What do I have to check to make sure it's a compatible battery?
  5. I changed the battery of my Lumia 920 two days ago, and it's great! Except, now the wireless charging doesn't work anymore. I have to take it out of the case to get it to charge, which is a huge hassle, as the case is very tight. The back panel has these 4 connectors for the coil: These connect to 4 pins on the device: I already tried bending them up gently, but they're definitely making contact as the charging takes a while but it does start. Without the case it works, but I've always had it work perfectly with the case on, even with a few mm to spare. Now, it just stops after about 10sec, and sometimes it does start, and stop, again within seconds. So, they are connected, it just... isn't enough? I don't know what to do. I got 2 of the very expensive charging cradles, and it doesn't work anymore...! Please, help!
  6. Huh. So, not too solid of a contender, then. I really don't want to have to get two keyboards, tho... hff. Well, thanks for the contributions, anyway! Appreciate ya guys.
  7. Definitely looks like a solid contender. Thanks! My only issue there is, 2 out of 3 of my PCs don't have BT built in. And I'm not sure about the stability of BT across any of these (using dongles). Is that thing available in black, too...? I could only find the white one, and it's got very... mixed... reviews, too. Looks like I'd need a case for that one, too. Putting that in the bag with the keys begging to be ripped off doesn't seem like a good idea (same with the X-1, tho).
  8. Oh? I didn't know that, as I didn't look for these. Huh! Confusion sucessfully averted!
  9. That used to be pretty low on the list, because no Multi-Device, and not pravtical for backpack since keys are too high from the side profile and there's no carry case. At that point, the use I'd get out of it would be severely diminished, if I had to buy a seperate (wireless and portable!) Numpad with its own dongle, that's getting to the "ridiculous" end of the scale. It's for home, and someplece-else media and gaming, and I intend to use it for work in the meantime (backpacking it each day). I'd rather not get two keyboards instead of one proper thing, as I either spend all the budget on one to get quality, or split it and then won't be happy with either of them. K63 is wireless...? Numpad extra is a no-go, tho... be that wired, or wireless.
  10. So, here's them options that I got: Corsair K63 (Numpad missing): + Wrist rest removable + LapBoard available - Not multi-device -- Keys too high in profile for loose transportation in backpack (no carry case) Logitech G Pro (Numpad missing): + Fits in with existing Logitech + I like Romer-G --- QWERTY only (whyyyyyyyyy) Hexgears X-1 (QWERTY only): + Super portable + Multi-Device -- Light whines apparently (comparable to coil whine) --- No QWERTZ layout Logitech G810 (Wireless missing): + Absolutely perfect in every way --- Cutting the cord makes it stop working Logitech G613 (Huuge, not portable): + Absolutely perfect in every way - No backlight --- Honey, I super-sized our keyboard Logitech K780 + Portable + Numpad + Carry case available + Seamless Multi-Device + Retro-ish concave keys - ... which are neither lit - ... nor mechanical - White tray not removable (size+1) --- F-Row only works when holding fn-key!! FUUUU I'm a software dev, I need them! Whyyyyyyyy Now, I'd still like to know if it would be possible to use some of the G810's QWERTZ Keycaps to frankenstein a wireless G Pro into having QWERTZ layout. That could work, possibly, but I'm not willing to take that risk (and, hunt down the keycaps I'd need to do that). Soo... I'm not too happy, it's so frustrating when there are so many keyboards that are so damn close to what I need but none actually fit perfectly. If I missed any better ones, please tell!
  11. IKR?! It would be absolutely perfect, as I've already got the (wired) G910 and G900 with their software. If it just wasn't such a damn plank...!That exact thing, just scaled down a noth or two would be insta buy. But I ain't carrying that thing around. It's really not made to be carried around, either. Maaaan, Logitech... c'mon, guys... Yeah, the K63 is very sexy, too. Didn't know you could even remove the wrist rest! It's been on my compromises list already, though. Does it actually support multi-device? Or just a single connection...? Depending on what I have to do, the tenkeyless might be a compromise I could make - if it's the only one, that is. You got one...?
  12. Been thinking about that, too. But, there's more to that layout than just those keys. Special chars and äöü, all that stuff. The / \ are mapped differently, too, I think. Bottom line is, things would be missing or shown to be on the wrong keys.
  13. Hey there, traveler! I've been looking for a new keyboard for a while, maybe you could help me out. Must have: - Wireless - Portable, but not tiny (Bonus: Carry Case) - Numpad - Dark room capable (Lit keys, yo - Bonus: Full RGB) - QWERTZ Layout Also in the same package, if possible: - Multi-Device (preferably with 2.4 dongle AND BT built in) - Uses proper batteries instead of built in rechargeable - Mechanical (non-clicky) I've had high hopes for the X-1 from kickstarter, but they don't intend on making QWERTZ layout. So, RIP. Others always lack one thing or the other, too! Plz help. *Addendum: If it's missing one of the things, still, suggest it. Because I'm having a feeling that I'll have to make a compromise here, and would like to know those options then, too. My wallet is ready! Thx.
  14. Uhm okay, can someone tell me why LTT switched to PIA, exactly? From what I understood, the biggest point was them being aquired by McAfee, and thus now being under US jurisdiction. At least it feels like that was the big issue they had? So, they are now partnered with PIA instead, which... is under US jurisdiction. And, if my info is right, has been readily bending over and working with US authorities already. Shutting down german and russian servers, for example - for the russian ones, word is their reasoning doesn't make any sense, either. As in, there's laws that would have compromised privacy when they wouldn't actually have been affected by them, and claiming the servers in russia were easier to spy on by authorities, which does not hold any water as what they described would (and is!) still just as possible and feasible on any VPN server, regardless of its location. I've had to check out a few VPN providers for work a while ago, so I may not recall all the details but I think that's the gist of it. It's still cheaper alright, and doesn't prevent torrenting, I think? But the whole jurisdiction thing's just lots of wool, isn't it. Just asking...!
