  1. The AMD wrench has arrived but I do not see a way to set anything on it. are they all the same?
  2. Thank you! I will only be using a single Video card and possibly a capture card. any concerns with NVME drives as well?
  3. I'm looking at the ASUS PROART X670E-CREATOR WF motherboard and noticed a PD_12V-PWR connection next to the ATX_PWR connection. Looking at the manual, this appears to be needed if your build requires 60W to the PCIe x16 slots. My question: What would require 60W to the PCIe x16 slots?
  4. Thanks. I was able to find one a few states over. Will hopefully be here this week.
  5. the combo from New egg has the CPU's pre-installed and "tested". Both boards came "working" and, according to the history, only had a single memory stick populated. To me, this says the entire board was not tested. do I need the AMD wrench? looks to be about $30 via eBay.
  6. I got one of the combo deals off Newegg for an AMD epyc process and a motherboard. First board Memory D0 would not be detected replaced memory and swapped with a known working stick. same issue where D0 not detected replaced memory with QVL. Same issue Got RMA from newegg The second board (RMA came with new MoBo and CPU) Memory D0 would not be detected replaced memory and swapped with a known working stick. same issue where D0 not detected replaced memory with QVL. Same issue Looking at serve the home forums, they suggest trying to do a reset of the CPU and ensuring proper torque for the CPU. What do I need to do this?
  7. playing with some PBO2 settings I saw over 5GHZ for a moment. under a full, all core load, I do not see that. I want this... (4:41 minute mark)
  8. What clocks speeds are you all getting with a fine tuned PBO2 configuration? most I can get is around 4.6 under cinabench testing. Or, is it more about the faster clocks under the liter loads such as gaming? Thank you.
  9. per the screen shot you sent the bios mode shows legacy. willing to bet disk manager would show the c: as MBT and not GPT use the below link to convert to GBT and than you will be able to secure boot into windows. just did this on my husbands PC and it worked without issue. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt from an admin command prompt MBR2GPT.exe /convert /allowFullOS
  10. its just a suggestion based on what I commonly see those who wear wedding or other types of relationship rings. the styles match
  11. I do not think this is the case. that type of ring means something IMO.
  12. This is the internet. People....
  13. you NEVER looked in the background of a picture than the focal point?
  14. always look in the background of every picture you get. at times, the real topic is in the background than the topic being discussed.
  15. Watching a recent video of @LinusTech and saw two rings on both "ring fingers". do we know why? is Linus more hip than we / I think he is?
  16. I think this is it. Thank you.
  17. Linus has featured a possible RTS game in his videos where he collecting resources, building a city, and using ships. I can not find the name of game but i recall was used during a bench marking / FPS test . anyone assist?
  18. Thanks for the correction. was looking at Innovation Cooling Graphite Thermal Pad
  19. Hiya all, anyone using Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad on the CPU's verse the paste?
  20. was thinking of this... how somehow got the wrong drives (green)
  21. Does anyone remember a linus video within the last 6 months talking about Seagate BarraCuda SSD's? Something like the following link https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T4178G1/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 I need to replace some SSD's in my NAS and "bookmarked" these drives based off a Linus Video. Are these drives still recommended?

  23. looking at the following 2x https://www.amazon.com/Elgato-Game-Capture-HD60-Pro/dp/B076ZQBN6R/ref=pd_sbs_147_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B014MQIVPS&pd_rd_r=d0556ca6-009f-11e9-840a-13e19cce6626&pd_rd_w=7YLVY&pd_rd_wg=gXP8Y&pf_rd_p=7d5d9c3c-5e01-44ac-97fd-261afd40b865&pf_rd_r=E2AH668PMD4S7572JWA2&refRID=E2AH668PMD4S7572JWA2&th=1 or 2x https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DHSZC4K/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07DHSZC4K&pd_rd_w=dToGb&pf_rd_p=21517efd-b385-405b-a405-9a37af61b5b4&pd_rd_wg=gXP8Y&pf_rd_r=E2AH668PMD4S7572JWA2&pd_rd_r=d0556ca6-009f-11e9-840a-13e19cce6626
  24. all. to be clear. the twitch stream does not NEED to be 4k 60fps. I'm assuming we will need some type of capture card. so video card --> HDMI --> Video capture card --> monitor. the video capture card will get 4k, 60FPS and likely stream 1080P out to twitch while passing the 4k steam on to the monitor. we are looking to combine two video sources into a single twitch stream
