It is but it utilizes my cpu 60% sometimes compared to far cry 5 which uses 20~30

I’d would be a good choice because that gpu is pretty high end just like that monitor and you don’t want to cheap out to much on a cpu.

I find that games like overwatch but quite some stress on my cpu compared to singleplayer games.

Open world games are mostly pretty intensive and multiplayers are also pretty intensive too.

Its pretty noticible definetly if you start playing cpu intensive titles.

5 years might be kinda steep for that i5 i’d say you’d get a good 3/4 years

Yeah it does really depend on how long you wanne keep using the same gpu and cpu.

If you don’t buying a new one your i5 is completely fine for now.

Getting a better cpu now will save you alot of money in the future.

overclocking increases temps alot and might degrade life span getting an i7 8700 will be future proof and is good for photo editing and video editing if you ever want to get into that type of stuff.

Yes i went with an i7 8700 for the purpoe of content creation and having things like discord not degrade as much performance. And also future proofing.

It might start bottlenecking with newer games and it wouldn’t really last you long while an i7 8700(k) or i5 8600(k) will last you a lot longer and will be powerfull enough if you decide to get a new gpu.

Heck i even went with an i7 8700 and i have a 980 ti (similiar to 1070) i wanted to be future proof.

What motherboard do you have? Also an i7 8700 if possible will give you alot of room for the future, minimum isn’t always the best option.

I really wanted a really bulky one because i want my pc to be extremely quiet and i don't mind spending that much on a cooler. (As i was originally going to get watercooling from Corsair)

Hello everyone. I recently bought a new cpu being the 8700. And i've been using the stock cooler (Which is SUPER loud). So i was looking for an upgrade. I decided i wanted either the dark rock 4 or the dark rock pro 4 from be quiet. But i'm not sure if the pro will fit. My motherboard: MSI H370 gaming PRO Carbon I also have 1 ram stick: Balistix Elite 3200mhz 1x 8gb Case: NZXT Razer H440 So will the Be Quiet Dark rock 4 Pro fit and will the non pro even fit?
