  1. Hello I am looking to purchase my 1st 1440p monitor. Here in South Africa our choices are limited and more expensive. I was looking to get the AOC CQ27G1 27". It is roughly $400 with conversion. https://www.wootware.co.za/aoc-cq27g1-27-quad-hd-2560x1440-144hz-1ms-va-1800r-curved-freesync-desktop-gaming-monitor.html#product_tabs_review_tabbed My other option is the AOC CQ27G2 27" QHD. Which I'm not really sure the difference to the G1. It is $480. https://www.evetech.co.za/aoc-cq27g2-144hz-gaming-monitor/best-deal/7983.aspx Third choice is to try stretch my budget and try the TUF GAMING VG27WQ. This is $550 https://www.wootware.co.za/asus-tuf-gaming-vg27wq-27-wqhd-2560x1440-1ms-165hz-va-freesync-monitor-33271.html Is it worth the extra $150 compared to the G1? The sites listed are the better value for money in the country. Amazon can ship here but it usually is more expensive with shipping and taxes. Any other findings or suggestions are welcome My current monitor is a Dell S2330MX https://www.loot.co.za/product/dell-s2330mx-ultra-slim-23-led-monitor/wtkt-2149-g860 GPU GTX 1070 Strix OC Thanks
  2. @Enderman and @STRMfrmXMN Thanks all for the info especially about the pumps Are there any other AIOs that you can recommend? I will need to purchase them when I'm back in South Africa so limited to stores. I may be able to get NZXT kraken x62. I use wootware.co.za and evetech.co.za to shop in SA. If you think the air cpu system will benefit more I heard great things about the noctua ones?
  3. Hello All I am looking to purchase the NZXT S340 Elite case. Thinking to use 2 noctua 120mm high airflow https://noctua.at/en/nf-s12a-pwm-chromax-black-swap/specification as exhaust and a 280mm aio rad as intake (CM MasterLiquidPro 280 or corsair 280mm). I live in South Africa and gets hot in summer 30+°C. Do you think this will be a good cool system? Thanks for the input! Matt
  4. Hello All I am looking to buy a 13" laptop preferable but 15" can work too, for under $450. I know it is not the highest budget but it is have we can afford. We need to replace an old macbook that has decided to stop working. The macbook was an intel i5 @2.3 GHz with 4GB ram 2011 model. Any laptop with similar specs would work great as it was used for work, travel and pictures, does not need to be a mac. Above 250GB storage will be a bonus. Any advice or recommendations? This is what I could find: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234721 https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i5378-3031GRY-PUS-Inspiron-Graphics-Theoretical/dp/B06WVM8Q8K/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1513898526&sr=8-6&keywords=Inspiron%2B13%2B5000&th=1 Thanks, Matt
  5. Thanks @loculus for finding that. The fans I will buy while I am here in the US where as the case and AIO I will get back in South Africa due to the size of the package. The choices are limited in SA with aio as it seems like the only real choice is corsair and cooler master but I favor the NZXT which can be touch to find due to availability. Appreciate the help and input
  6. What do you think about the silent wings fans compared to noctua? @WoodenMarker @loculus @Mick Naughty be quiet! BL069 SILENTWINGS 3 140mm HIGH SPEED 1600RPM 77.57CFM 28.1DBA Cooling Fan https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JME3UJW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_JLTmAbZR1F6HN
  7. @WoodenMarker In the US all I know with shopping is Amazon and Newegg. Mostly I get off Amazon at times it can be slightly cheaper. In South Africa I will use wootware.co.za and evetech.co.za We use Rand there and is now R13.5 to $1, technology tends to be more expensive there. Thanks all for the help
  8. Thanks all for the replys. @WoodenMarker I am planning on getting the NZXT S340 elite. I live in South Africa but in the US for a few months and getting the parts here. @loculus I was thinking of using high RPM PWM fans as it can get very hot where I live. In summer over 100F, abiously it will be cooler indoors but just want to try run a cooler system. I have not purchased the case, aio or fans yet so just looking for research in what could would best with the budget. Thanks all
  9. Hello All I want to get two 120mm exhaust fans and two 140mm intake fans. Really liking the Noctua brand and was wondering if there are any specific ones that are recommended or ones to avoid. The intake fans will be over a 280mm aio radiator, which I want to replace the NZXT stock fans. If there are any other brands you recommend please share. Please feel free to share and discuss This is what I had in mind: 140mm intake: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KFCR0PQ/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=ITIK7J4VCO52Y&colid=2XTJTQFJ21K0V&psc=0 120mm exhaust: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07657VBQQ/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1HXQY41834BO3&colid=2XTJTQFJ21K0V&psc=0 Thanks All
  10. Thanks for the time to pick out the parts _SAITAMA_ . I forgot to mention I have a GPU and PSU, VoyexTech. Will add update to the post
  11. Hey All I am building a new PC from my old one that I have. I use it only for gaming and minor photo editing. My budget is around $600 and right now I want to upgrade all the components except the CPU, RAM, GPU, PSU and motherboard as I want to try save up more for when the next gen comes out next year. I have the i7-4790K with the Z97 Asus Hero board, GTX 1070, 750W Gold PSU and 16GB ram. I am open to any suggestions regarding the rest of my build as in the case, fans/cooling, storage and anything else you may think is a good idea. Not looking for audio or peripherals. I live in South Africa but currently in the US to make the purchases so large items such as the case I will purchase back home. The fans I am also looking for a good combo of performance and silence. This is what I had in mind at the moment: Case: NZXT S340 elite $100 (Looking for a tempered glass side panel) https://www.amazon.com/S340VR-Elite-Computer-Matte-CA-S340W-B3/dp/B01LZQMXJT/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1511803249&sr=1-1&keywords=s340+elite Cooling: Kraken x64 aio (intake) $160 https://www.amazon.com/Kraken-Liquid-Cooling-System-RL-KRX62-02/dp/B06XX8Q1CL/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1511803221&sr=1-1&keywords=kraken+x62 Fans: NXZT Hue+ with x2 120 fans (exhaust) $80 https://www.amazon.com/NZXT-RGB120-Bundle-120mm-Included/dp/B01N4G5ILV/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1511803452&sr=8-2&keywords=hue+nzxt Storage: 1TB 3D Sandisk SSD $280 https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-NAND-SATA-SDSSDH3-1T00-G25/dp/B071KGRXRG/ref=dp_ob_title_ce All comes to around $620 Thanks ALL Matthew
