Yea that’s what I was thinking too. It was plugged in to a power strip surge protector but didn’t seem to help. I know there fridge went out to for the same reason. I just wanted to make sure I was missing anything before we build a new one

I built my parents a computer many years ago. I came to visit them and I’m trying to diagnose the issue. when you try to turn the computer on the psu clicks immediately and the computer shuts down. here are the things I’ve tried 1. reset bios 2. I removed all components from computer except mobo, psu, cpu, ram 3. Tried both sticks of ram individually in each slot. 4. bought a new power supply the computer now turns on for 2 seconds but shuts off (no click) there are surface led lights for diagnosing and the only one that’s lit is sb_power. Unfortunately I’m thinking the board or cpu was fried from a power surge.

I would love to use this as a dedicated PC for my TV or make a pfsense router to replace my aging router.

zoney is correct. I tried the setup i explained and i dont hear any chat audio. I REALLY hope they change this in the new update.

I'm pretty sure it would work too but the headphones I might buy are expensive and want a more definite answer. Maybe someone that has a setup similar can chime in. If I had some speakers that had optical audio I would test it myself but my speakers only have stereo.

Hello, Does anyone know if the chat audio is passed through the optical audio out? I want to get a pair of wireless headphones and use a mod mic. The wireless headphones have a wireless transmitter with optical audio and stereo (3.5 mm) as its inputs. I'm wondering if I would hear the game audio and chat audio through the wireless headphones if I use the optical audio out from the one. Thanks

I am also looking for a laptop with the same specs as you listed. So far i am liking the aorus x3plus v3, they recently updated it. It now has a 13.9" 3K display, 4710HQ, gtx 970, and up to 16gb of ram.
