  1. Installed the latest driver update, if the issue shows up again I'll do a DDU and then undervolt. Any tips on what I should do if it the issue persists even after undervolting? Or am I just screwed lol
  2. 3080 10GB, sorry should've included that in the original post. Have not tried undervolting or anything like that - I messed with overclocking like a year ago just for fun but I put it back to stock settings.
  3. Hey gang, I believe my GPU (RTX 3080 10GB) is on the fritz as I'm getting weird artifacts on screen occasionally. My PC also blue screened once when trying to launch Destiny 2 (unfortunately I did not catch the code), and then earlier the game just straight up crashed with an error saying that it couldn't detect my GPU. Here's a picture of what comes on screen. I was able to capture the artifacts in this screenshot, but when trying again other times they wouldn't show up. Does anyone have advice on how I can figure out what's causing the issue and fix it? My GPU is not overheating, and I'm updating to the latest NVIDIA drivers now. I restarted my PC after this happened, and so far nothing has shown up, but I'm sure it will again.
  4. What texture/resource packs and shader packs were used in this video? I know I've seen them before but I just can't remember the name.
  5. Hey guys, I just have a quick question about CPU temperature sensors in HWiNFO64. The CPU (Tctl/Tdie) sensor is always a few degrees (sometimes even up to 10 degrees) higher than the Core Temperatures (average) sensor. Which one should I mainly use to determine how hot my CPU is running? In other words, which sensor should I use to control my custom fan curve? Here's a picture of the two sensors:
  6. Hi all, I ordered a Ryzen 7 3700x to replace my Ryzen 5 1600 and it's stock Wraith Spire cooler... then I quickly realized I no longer have the two mounting brackets that go on the side of the CPU. I don't know if that was a good explanation, but they're the things that the cooler would hook on to when you install it. I have a MSi B350m Gaming Pro Motherboard. Anyway, out of these two brackets I found, would either of them work for my motherboard and cooler? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SK9MYPV?pf_rd_r=8VKE76CC4Z72HR2HJPN5&pf_rd_p=edaba0ee-c2fe-4124-9f5d-b31d6b1bfbee https://www.amazon.com/PartsCollection-Retention-Bracket-Cooling-Mounting/dp/B07C2BXDQM/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=b350m+motherboard+cooling+bracket&qid=1602193758&s=electronics&sr=1-9 Another question, is that large plate looking thing needed? I checked the reviews and it appears that most people already have one in their motherboard. I don't think I removed it when installing the original processor, but that was three years ago so I'm honestly not sure. Final question: If I cannot install the Wraith Prism cooler due to not having the brackets, would the Wraith Spire cooler work fine for the 3700x? Thanks for the help!
  7. I haven't tried it yet as I'm working currently but once I am able to I will try the solution you gave. I appreciate your help!
  8. Can you give instructions/a link to instructions on how to do that?
  9. Hi all, Port 8 on my RT-AC88U router isn't working. Anything we plug into it does not have internet, and Windows does not even detect some kind of connection to the router like it normally would if I just lost internet service from my ISP for a little bit. As well, when an ethernet cable is plugged into port 8 then put into a computer, it has no blinking light compared to when it is plugged into another port then put into a computer. I checked the system log of the router, and it is outputting this message every four seconds or so: kernel: portsLinkStaus=f (not a typo, it does really say "Staus" and not "Status") Does anybody have a fix for the port not working? And does anyone know what the above message means? I checked Google but I don't see anything about portsLinkStaus =f, I just see portsLinkStaus = 0 or 7 or something like that.
  10. Will I still be able to use the 1600 even after the update?
  11. I want to upgrade from a Ryzen 5 1600 to a Ryzen 7 3700x. The motherboard I'm using is a MSI B350M Gaming Pro Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard. PCPartPicker says that I might need a bios update for my motherboard to work with the new processor. I looked on msinfo32 and it says that my bios version/date is this: American Megatrends Inc. 2.80, 8/1/2017. Will I actually need to update my bios? If so, how do I do that and make sure that I'm getting the correct version for my processor? Another question I have is what will happen to my bios once I update it. It looks like MSI uses some kind of custom UI in the bios, compared to the simple blue and grey bios you see when you search up "american megatrends bios" on google. If I update my bios, will it switch to that blue and grey bios or will it keep the MSI user interface?
  12. Howdy, I'm going to be upgrading my graphics card and I know that it will fit in my case and that my power supply can support it. However, I'm just wondering what I should do about the graphics drivers. Will I just have to put the new card in and install them or will I have to do something with the old drivers first? Both cards are NVIDIA cards and I have Geforce Experience for my drivers.
