  1. @SydneySideSteveSomewheres this is how my menu looks, even after I changed to make the network metered. Not sure why I don't have those options
  2. I don't seem to have that option When I was reinstalling the drivers though, I did have my Ethernet cable unplugged. Would Windows still be able to install a driver when offline?
  3. So underclocking my GPU seemed to help...but only in games oddly. When i was just on my browser, i eventually got the freezing. After both fixes (underclocking/install older driver), I would get freezing.
  4. @GER_T4IGA I'll see if either of these work. Perplexing though how I was able to apply an overclock when i first got the card, and i never really raised voltage much at all. I've had it since June, so that would be astonishing to me if components degraded that quickly.
  5. Yes i did check that option when i reinstalled the Nvidia driver Also the CPU shouldn't have any graphics drivers for it since it doesn't have any on-board graphics, and I never installed any Radeon drivers
  6. I've been experiencing freezes/hangs during usage to varying degrees, during both web browsing and games. Games typically are more severe where either the game, after playing for 20-30 minutes, instantly locks up the system and all i can do is move my mouse cursor (Dota 2), or the rest of the system freezes and game audio seems to repeat from the moment of the freeze, but the game continues to run apart from the audio for a little while after (ETS2). While using Chrome, after a varying amount of time, the browser will freeze, and audio continues for a bit. For the games, I have to force off the system, but for Chrome, I can close the brower, and the system seems to recover. All of these events seem to correspond to a system event, which I've attach a screenshot of below from Event Viewer. Information on the warning suggests graphics driver reinstall, with DDU, which I've done without success. The BIOS was previously the release BIOS for the board, which i updated recently since I was already having stability issues. I even re-seated the GPU since that was a solution brought up as well (didn't work), and set all my power settings to High Performance. Help is greatly appreciated. System specs: Windows 10 Home 64 bit Asus X470 Crosshair VII Hero (BIOS 0804) AMD R7 2700 (Auto in BIOS) Corsair Vengeance LPX 2X8GB 3000 (Auto in BIOS) MSI GTX 1070 Ti Titanium (Stock clocks) WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB SSD (WDS100T2B0B) (Boot drive) SK Hynix 500GB SSD (HFS500G32TND) Seagate 2TB SSHD (ST2000DX001) EVGA P2 1200 (1200W 80+ Platinum)
  7. That moment got totally blow out of proportion. I also saw a comment that thought Linus was hostile to Riley the ENTIRE show...I was dumb-founded. Honestly considering now whether they were trolling
  8. I would not go with a 550 W PSU for a build like this. An R7 and a 1080ti are high power parts. I would go with 650W as a good wattage for this build
  9. Thanks for the welcome, and reply. So will I have to uninstall my Windows 7 from my current drives, or will I be good just installing Windows 10 to my new drive and going from there? Will the Windows 7 installation cause issues? Also, I don't know about files only compatible with Windows 7. What should i be on the lookout for in that regard?
  10. Hello. New to the forum here, and I'm looking to do a system upgrade in the near future and wanted to clear some things up. My concerns mostly revolve around Storage and a CPU/MOBO upgrade. My current system has a 500GB SSD and a 2TB hard drive, Windows 7 on an X79 platform. I am looking to add a 1TB SSD to the mix, and probably upgrade to Ryzen 2. From what I understand, Ryzen only works with Windows 10, so I'm assuming I'll need to upgrade to that. Will I be good just installing Windows 10 on the new SSD I'm getting, adding my current drives to the system and having access to all the data on the current drives? Will there be issues using the drives that were used in a Windows 7 environment in my new system if I go that route? Thanks much
