  3. yes, there's at least one other known in the wild. it's in Russia still missing drivers to run 3D. not promoting the listing, but a follow up to the Linus Video, historical reference and awareness only

  5. do you think my problem is PSU related or something else? https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/voltage-droop-enough-to-be-concerned-with.286392/
  6. i opted for the SF-1600F14HT just now instead of those Seasonic PRIMEs
  7. • Seasonic | Focus [OneSeasonic refreshes] GX / GM / PX / SGX - Prime [8] GX (<=750W / =>1000W) / (Ultra) Gold =>1000W / PX =>1000W / (Ultra) Platinum =>1000W / TX =>1000W / (Ultra) Titanium =>1000W / PRIME Snow Silent Gold [550W] - Connect [8] Seasonic PRIME based units experience shutdowns with RTX3080/3090 (and possibly RX6900 XT) GPUs, especially ones with unlocked power limit like FE and ASUS Strix. It is recommended, if going with such units, to overprovision wattage, 1kW for RTX3080 and 1.2kW for RTX3090, or power-limit the GPU, or performing a 'dirty' fix of disconnecting a pin of 12V V-sense wire from PSU-side connector of 24-pin motherboard cable (courtesy of Jonny Guru). Units based on post-2018 revisions of Seasonic Focus platform and majority of units by other OEMs are not affected. --- Would the Seasonic PRIME PX-1000 be safe for a RTX 3090 then?
  8. Just collecting them due to some of the following reasons (in my humble opinion): 1) most aesthetically appealing card of all time (green shroud) 2) infamous / history / hype / height of enthusiasm and discussion ... so much so it was covered with a full spread cover model 3) rarity --- Hoping to top off the collection with this frosted shroud early variant:
  9. how do i move it to the status updates?
  10. Collected my 4th nVidia GeForce FX 5800 Ultra:
  11. @YuuKi-AnS Does your Larrabee boot as 2D without any other card in the system? See:
  12. I received the Larrabee (Revision 2) BIOS and my Revision 1 (same revision as Linus) is now detected as a Coprocessor, but installing the MPSS drivers yields system reboot. Previously my card had no BIOS chip: Now with BIOS from Revision 2 card: Detected as Coprocessor:
  13. Yup https://imgur.com/a/iIcZQ3Y
  14. Managed to acquire my own Larrabee
  15. I think Linus is dead wrong in calling this a KNC... it's clearly the Larrabee GPU / Aubrey Isle around the KNF / Knights Ferry era
  16. There's no way this is a KNC that was never intended to be a videocard, the PCB clearly states Larrabee and also "GPU". Linus is dead wrong in calling this a KNC.
  17. My 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000 arrived today!

  18. I just bought a 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000.  It's the 3700 Revision and also has Hank's PCI Rework completed:

  20. probably going to catch a lot of flack for this, but LTT seems to have underhandedly received this from an eBay Auction. The winner of the actual auction in good faith was Red Falcon. He was lied to by the seller saying that Intel Lawyers stepped in, and I was told "it's in good hands" https://hardforum.com/threads/intel-larrabee-a-prototype.1948986/page-4#post-1043635263
  21. I have confirmation from the "Russian" who owns the other Larrabee prototype that "XXXsh: he says it shows in the system as co-processor" ... that is with booting to video with an IGP or Dedicated other video card.
