  1. I already have those drives that's why I'll add an nvme now. I don't get why you suggest a 5800X3D a 7800X3D is only €20 more and am5 so much more future proof and the cooler you suggest has the same cfm? Found another post here about the cooler/cpu combo they seem to say it's fine. Never heard of that brand before, yeah the HDDs are indeed to slow. Yeah RAM get's alot more expensive when you lower the CL. And I guess that my case has to be replaced with my PSU and GPU next year.
  2. Budget (including currency): as low as possible but to put a number on it under €800 Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Some Web development/Android development and some standard AAA games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a 1440p 75Hz 31" monitor, I plan to upgrade my PSU and GPU next year, and want to future proof my CPU now as much as possible. I saw this deal on the website azerty.nl for €659,00: -AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D tray processor, 8 cores/16 threads -DeepCool AK400 koeler -Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX -32 GB Corsair Vengeance 6000 Mhz (2x 16 GB) -BIOS-update -Assembly And put that with my current stuff in pcpartpicker, so comparing to that it seems a good deal but is it? 3. The point is future proofing with cpu now, maybe I'll get a GPU upgrade next year. A Ryzen 7 7800X3D costs €399 vs the €344 Ryzen 7 7700 isn't the X3D a lot better to be worth the price bump?
  4. What case would you recommend? That is something I can buy before I do the other purchases. Right now I have a back and white theme with white leds, and I'll probably need some case fans too, would you recommend an AIO or just an air cooler? Cooler Master V Series V550 - 550W RS550-AFBAG1-EU
  5. Budget (including currency): As low as possible but under €900 Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Assassin's Creed Mirage/Valhalla, Hogwarts legacy, ... and software development Other details: I have a 1440p 75hz 31" monitor and a 1080p 60Hz monitor. Want to keep my GPU, Case, Hard drives and regular SSD (and PSU if possible). My PC right now: CPU: i5-6600K Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P CPU Cooler: Thermalright True Spirit 120M Black/white RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB DDR4 2400Mhz GPU: Gigabyte 1070 PSU: Coolermaster 550W 80+ Gold Case: NZXT S340 (White) SSD: Samsung EVO 850 500GB When playing those games currently I get bluescreens pretty often with the message: Memory management, and my CPU is often at 100% when gaming. I regret getting an i5 over an i7 all those years ago as that seems to be my bottleneck, so this time I'd like to go with AMD AM5 socket (for future proofing) or an i7 or i9 so it'll last as long as possible, my GPU seems to do fine for 1080p right now. Do you guys think getting a Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a good idea? And then a B650 or X670? I'd like to get 32 GB ram (DDR5?) and a new cooler? Is all this possible with my current PSU? I'd like to have an idea of what best to upgrade and buy it in pieces, maybe keep my ram/PSU for now and wait for black friday.
  6. Alright with both your notes in mind what about this a 240 AIO on the front or If i can find the box of my current cooler and hopefully have an am4 mount, the front panel is removable, since the pc is on the floor with the side panel to the front you don't even notice it without the front panel, that's like a massive intake that way. I found some used b550 but the price difference is small compared to a new one I don't mind giving some more money. I do worry about this PCPartPicker Part List: https://be.pcpartpicker.com/list/z7ksW4 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor (€439.00 @ Megekko) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (€98.50 @ Megekko) Motherboard: ASRock B550 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard (€133.85 @ Megekko) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory (€118.85 @ Megekko) Storage: KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS G2 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (€110.76 @ Megekko) Video Card: Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB Video Card Power Supply: Cooler Master V550 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For €0.00) Total: €900.96 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2022-10-19 15:53 CEST+0200
  7. I found some new X570S and X570-P (whatever that means) for €160, I've never bought second hand electronics, I don't know what's the best place to sell/buy pc hardware. Ram doesn't seem to be that expensive right now, i see that 32 GB 3200 and 3600 are only a few euro's apart but the cpu chart says 3200 does it benefit from faster ram? What about this https://be.pcpartpicker.com/list/jyxjhk?
  8. Cooler Master V550 What about adding an AIO, I currently pull air from the front and have an exhaust fan at the back and op top
  9. Budget (including currency): As low as possible but under €1000 Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Red Dead Redemption 2, software development Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a 1440p 75hz 31" monitor and a second monitor 1080p 60Hz. Want to keep my GPU, Case and PSU (if possible probably), Don't know if I'll need a new cooler too will try to sell the rest (don't know where). My case is all black and white parts with white leds. Current PC CPU: i5-6600K Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P CPU Cooler: Thermalright True Spirit 120M Black/white RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB DDR4 2400Mhz GPU: Gigabyte 1070 PSU: Coolermaster 550W 80+ Gold Case: NZXT S340 (White) My biggest problems right now is I do get some BSODs (memory management) randomly, and I most definitely get them while playing games like the latest AC: Valhalla or RDR2. I have seen that in those games my GPU isn't maxed out but my CPU is. So I do regret not getting the i7 back when i build the pc, and since it's intel I have to get a new motherboard anyway... Should I go AM5 with one of the mid specced cpu's and DDR5 or the intel way or go 5800X3D which seems to be a beast?
  10. Yeh haven't found it yet but I believe it's an old Dell with an i3 and 4GB of ram and a 750GB HDD. Been looking at ispy and kerberos. But the ZoneMinder looks doable too. Or is there another way to make an NVS out of an old desktop to storage camera imagery locally.
  11. Been thinking about getting 2 security camera's and all the affordable options require either subscriptions (nest) or back up to Chinese servers (xiaomi). So I'm wondering what is the best software I can put on an old PC to make it a storage device for security camera's?
  12. Sonos is audio over wifi, they don't have BT. And they have spotify connect which is a blessing.
  13. I currently own an LG C8 55" (only ARC no eARC) and i'm moving to a new house where it will be the main tv in the living room. So the audio from the TV alone won't be enough so I'm looking at a good surround, we would also use it to play music on Spotify. The wife factor is important and some friends have bose 700 surround set in white and others have sonos one's and she likes the aesthetic. My preference is Sonos devices and I'm planning on getting 2 Sonos one SL's as speakers behind the couch on stands or against the wall. I read a little about Dolby Atmos needing eARC and the C8 only has ARC so I'm wondering if it's worth to get the Sonos Arc or not? Or is there another wireless surround that's white and looks clean and works well?
  14. How robust is the frontfacingcameramechanism? What about the back of the phone? Can you use a flipcase for it?
  15. I have a badge for getting through the gate and doors at work so I use a flipcase around my phone which can fit some cards. As I said I had a Huawei P9 Lite so I'm not used to having facial recognition so I won't miss it anyway. What I use my phone for: watching Netflix and Youtube now and then. casting to chromecast Waze (spotify) Connected to my mi band 3 Online bank stuff Mails Google Home and Hue stuff So I'd like OLED a lot in my TV so I think it would be great in a phone too but I don't know what 2h/day of Waze/ Google Maps will do for burn in. I don't have a budget but I like to get something which is great for not that much money (9t pro 128gb is €445 (- €50 giftcard)) so something at that pricepoint.
