  1. I have quite a deep voice and am wondering which mic to choose. I also need a pair of headphones but I can only afford a particular set of items. What would you choose? / What has the best quality
  2. ngl, I kind of hate iems with tips .... im one of those people that uses ear pods because they actually fit lmao, ill have another look, maybe ill find ones that suit me
  3. I had been looking at ones without but couldn't seem to find better than what i linked seen as they are a blackfriday deal from 150. Any recommendations ?
  4. Hi all, I'm in need of purchasing some headphones and have a budget of £80 (no more) with a preferred budget of £60. So far I have found these - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078VGQCZ4/ref=twister_B079K2LLH9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 , Im not in need of wireless or NC but I do want the best sound quality I can get for over ear headphones, all recommendations are welcome! Thanks in advance, Lex
  5. How reliable are adapters? What monitor benefits will I lose on, for example, the lg ultra gear... It's not a super close upgrade my new rig (3900x, 2080super) maybe in around 6 months so I would like to be able to use it normally and not suffer any weird articulating etc.
  6. Hi all, I have recently been looking into a new monitor for more real estate, however, I have hit multiple boundaries. To start I have a budget of roughly £150 and am unable to stretch it any further (maybe a few pounds at the most). I have a list of 'requirements' if you will -> here : 1ms response, 60hz+, thin bezel, good brightness, ips or possibly va?, all of which i can shift on, however I am lenient to all but two - colour accuracy & sharpness -. (I will be using this monitor with my new setup soon too :d) I would only be capable of running 1080p (atm) so I need a 24", i'm one of those people who can see damn pixels even from 3ft away .... And finally, due to my specs, a j2900 (ivy bridge) with integrated graphics, I am limited to a vga output ..... Im not sure if I should be looking at buying a monitor with vga (which limits my options of good monitors), trying to find an active vga to hdmi converter (no idea if these work and allow me to benefit from the monitor), or try to place a cheap psu and gpu into my system in order to have a hdmi output? I have attached images of my system with the hopes you can see what is going on (It currently doesn't have a psu as it runs off an external brick). Do ignore the dust, im in the process of cleaning it and reapplying thermal compound These are few monitors that I have found, however, they suffer from only having a hdmi port or being 27" - https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-Ultragear-27GL63T-27-Inch-Compatible/dp/B07XS9N2CL?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_48ab5ad5_54&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (ik this is 27 but the specs seemed great xD, except the no vga part xD) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-LED-backlit-Monitor-Response-MaxxAudio/dp/B07CD5J61Z?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_48ab5ad5_14&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (No wall mount or vga) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-EW277HDR-Eye-Care-Brightness-Intelligence/dp/B074Z4CNFX?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_48ab5ad5_47&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (has vga, i question the res for 27" and the colour with 'hdri') - https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-24MP88HV-Infinity-Display-Monitor/dp/B01HZLC716/ref=asc_df_B01HZLC716/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310875581265&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3851747762192994724&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045901&hvtargid=pla-378871387390&psc=1&th=1&psc=1 (bad response but seems to have good colours based on online reviews) -https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-C24RG50-24inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B07PFJH2YX?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_PC_48ab5ad5_51&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (no vga agains ) I hope you can make sense of all of this and can help me out ~:D, all monitor recommendations and ways to solve my output issue welcome! Thanks in advance, Lex.
  7. Just found this - https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/29wl500-b-29-fhd-hdr-freesync-monitor-29wl500-b/version.asp?refsource=ldadwords&mkwid=sAWWEObHj_dc&pcrid=375234708431&product=29WL500-B&pgrid=79326612840&ptaid=pla-798886997478&channel=search&gclid=Cj0KCQiAiNnuBRD3ARIsAM8Kmluj9DuQYY1SIF2I9BoHSnJY_YUD132Joz4ccD_R3jI_UZGt6VL4oI4aAnLQEALw_wcB - Thoughts ? I figure it will be able to hold the size of my ide window well with a chrome tab or something open, just wondering about colour etc
  8. Are there any you can recommend? Also, since I wont fully benefit from 144hz due to my current pc specs is it worth extra money? And finally xD, how many nits should I look for in order to keep a good colour balance and not to have bleeding light around the edges of the monitor and/or a washed, over exposed image. Ive seen many people mention the monitor i linked above was perfect for colour etc despit it only being 250nits of brightness. Thanks for the help, Lex.
  9. Im looking at purchasing either a 1080p or 1440p monitor, 24 or 27 inches, with a preferred response time of 1ms and 60hz+. I need it to have good colour accuracy for what I can purchase at the £150 and under mark plus have good clarity. So far I have found this monitor which supposedly has some of the best colours for the price, not to mention the great aesthetic xD https://www.ebuyer.com/752687-lg-24mp88hv-24-full-hd-ips-neo-blade-iii-monitor-24mp88hv This seems like a stupid question however seen as my processor is a J2900 (ivy bridge) it's integrated graphics are far from the best and are lacking in many ways. I hope you can clarify if the integrated graphics will be able to handle smoothly 1080p video playback etc and possibly if 1440p will work. Thanks in advance, any monitor recommendations are welcome! Hope you can make sense of this - it's 4am xD Lex.
  10. The tomahawk max supposedly is '3000 series ready' as it already comes with a 'compatible' bios... Some x570 boards and other b450 max boards have suffered the same issues.... The budget for the board really was only £110 as i needed to stretch double the price for my ram... I would say tops £150 and really would rather not go over. Best, Lex
  11. After too many complaints about b450 boards and 3000 series ryzen comparability I am considering leaving behind the B450 tomahawk max and trying to extend my budget for a low end x570 board. Is anybody able to help me out and tell me what is going on with the max board? I had been told it was only the non max editions that suffered issues. Sources : https://www.reddit.com/r/MSI_Gaming/ (Scroll around the forum) Since this issue may continue could you also recommend me a cheap x570 board for a 3600 ocd that has the same or better features than the tomahawk max... (must have good vrms). Thanks for the help in advance, this really has become a pain now :D, Lex
  12. Looks like a good kit on paper. cl17 I could maybe get the latency down to cl16. I wonder how the chips will perform. Thanks , Lex.
  13. Also sorry for the late response, I was out catching up with an old friend of mine
  14. Vengence lpx cl18 3600mhz is £91, cl16 3200mhz is £75 and the cl15 3000mhz is also £75. Just want to point out too that I only use vengence lpx as a base line as its pricing tends to be in the middle of both the high end and low end of other ram makers. Its not specifically because I want to buy that model . The budget is £100 or less, what would you pick out of those latencys and the brands on the market? -I want to be able to oc it and Im not sure how likely it is that I will be able to oc the ballistix as much as people have claimed - but of course i have never tested them personally so .... Thanks for your help , Lex.
  15. Hella expensive though, I was looking at this kit before but just couldnt seem to squeeze it into the budget. Anything other you can recommend?
