  1. I have had the pg279q for around a year now and I simply cannot go back to not using Gsync. Even 165hz without Gsync is annoying to me as even though there is little tearing there is stuttering when the computer/video card cannot deliver high enough frame rates. Hard to describe so you just have to experience Gsync. Your brain learns to ignore the tearing and compensate for the stuttering in a non Gsync screen so when you use Gsync for awhile and then go back to a non Gsync screen the tearing and stuttering is so incredibly obvious that you cannot believe you ever tolerated non Gsync display at all in the past. Also, I do not have a very powerful machine either. I have a Pentium dual core g3420, or something like that, I can't remember and a gtx 960. Lately I mostly play fallout 4 and while the frame rate could be better the experience still is way better than I've ever experienced in a game. The amazing part to me is that lowering the resolution does not help the feel of the game at all because Gsync does such a good job of matching the output framerate to the display. Running at 1440p on my display I have most of the details on low and AA off and the frame rate stays above 40 fps and the experience is nothing short of amazing. Even when I crank up the details and the frame rate drops into the 30's the gameplay is still better than any non Gsync display. When I play games like Unreal Tournament though I find Gsync annoying and prefer a static 165hz with all details turned as low as possible. I highly recommend the pg279q. While very expensive I sincerely feel the value far exceeds any purchase I have ever made in computer hardware over the last 30 years.
