  1. A gskill kit I pulled from my Intel build https://m.newegg.ca/products/N82E16820231959?_ga=2.4479664.2075516912.1511793266-1817519920.1511553851 I just figured it's ram. I've never had an issue like this because ram has always just been ram
  2. So after all the bullshit the only conclusion that I can possibly fucking come up with is that somehow my ram isn't compatible (It's ram, what the hell) So now because I can't afford to spend 200 dollars on ram should I wait and save money to buy ram or should I return these basically useless piles of money
  3. Ran mem test earlier today and it came up perfectly clean. I'll definitely try the Linux thing. Thanks
  4. I'll try the media creation tool on another PC in the morning
  5. Like I said. I can't update it. Freezes too quickly. Idk what version I have. I just have it on a flash drive
  6. I'd imagine the cooler is mounted properly considering the temps never soar too high. I've reverted to defaults. Windows 10 but without any updates. Freezes before I can do that
  7. An evga gold 550 watt for an r9 380 and a Ryzen 5. From every thing I've looked at it should be enough. Haven't overclocked either
  8. Basically what the title says. I cannot do anything. Can't even try to update drivers or windows because it freezes up so quickly
  9. Did some research and it turns out the ASUS board might be the problem.. a host of other people are having the same issue. Might have to return it and save up for a new one
  10. Ah....I missed that memo. Ill give it a try and update the post after another prime95 run
  11. Running a mem test right now and will try that as soon as it finishes up. Thanks. Didn't think of that. Any idea what could be causing it? I did just switch from Intel so maybe drivers are fighting with eachother
  12. Hi. I recently bought a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and am experiencing a bit of a problem. Under the Prime 95 stress test (and any other test that maxxes out the CPU) My PC shuts down. Temperature is never high enough for that to be a problem and i am pretty certain that my power supply is more than enough for my current config (evga 80+ gold 550 watt, ryzen 5 1600, r9 380, 2 HDDs and one ssd) I've tried updating the BIOS but that seems to not have worked. People are saying its ram related but again, that doesnt seem likley to me seen as how it only happens when the PC is under load. Any help is appreciated.
  13. yeah I know. At this point i dont have the budget to make intel worthwhile. lol
