I've done some digging about it and its a new xiaomi policy..back then you only need to wait 76 hours i think and that alone is pretty annoying.

I can't flash a global rom wiithout unlocking the bootloader..i mean not that english rom is a problem but come on..

If it's not tied to the phone maybe, you can trick it by setting the system time forward or, launching it in a VM.

Though, not sure about the VM. Wouldn't want to risk bricking the phone.

You can't..the unlocking process are synced with the server so changing the time forward won't work..

Idk about VM though..virtual machine you mean? i don't see any connection..pls elaborate..also help i can't sleep

Yeah, by VM I meant virtual machine but, if it's tied to a server then, you'd need a new account and a VPN for that.

As for sleeping, I'm in the same boat as you. Good luck with that.

The unlocking process require an ID called Mi Account and you'll have to use that and even with VPN its still won't work..idk how their security work.

The only option is to use Special Tool such as Dongle to unlock the bootloader unofficially but they are expensive and i dont really need that because i only need to unlcok my phone..i've been stuck with Chinese developer rom since i first bought this phone.

Xiaomi didnt say anything about this..they got the rom for the phone in their website but didn't say that you have to unlock the BL to flash a global ROM to it.

You don't need to enable USB debugging because it flashed via Fastboot or EDL mode..not ADB Sideload..

Welp those days are over..back then you could just use ADB sideload and you can call it a day.

Now its getting more difficult to flash a phone..some phone even ask for your password when you want to reset the phone from recovery mode and the reason why most people want to do that is because they forgot their password lol
