  1. So i bought the Logitech X Pro gaming last week and i'm having some issue with the sound quality overall when using the USB DAC or the 3.5mm audio jack When using the USB DAC there's a background sound that goes away if i put down the sound wheel on the in line cable but after that all sounds are kinda muted and sound distant When using the audio jack, the sound is not present with the wheel being at 100% but the overall quality is bad Step taken to resolve the issue : Uninstall Ghub and all Logitech drivers Reboot, plug in DAC, updating drivers via Ghub then reboot Same issue Tried different games and different combinaison with audio jack or the USB DAC but the issue and sound quality is still bad Wondering if thats a known issue or if a RMA is required here Can't find anything online and running out of option here. Thanks
  2. Sorry for the delay was out of town for the week end. Maybe check in the task manager under Startup if MSI Afterburner is disable if not try to make a task using the task scheduler and it should force MSI to start upon Windows Startup
  3. I thought my little explanation was fine if you are not sure how to make the settings starts on Windows start up try finding a youtube video of some sort and you should be good to go ! The important part is to make sure the windows icon on the front page of MSI is hightlighted so the settings will boot with the software ! You can always save profile to if you want different fan curve or OC settings for when gaming or doing something else on the PC
  4. Is the game you experiencing issues with are installed on the SSD or the HDD ? You can always use some sofware to test the health of your HDD. I will name a few : IOLO System Mechanic Pro. HD Tune. PassMark DiskCheckup. Samsung HUTIL. Seagate SeaTool
  5. In the settings you should have the option to start the software when Windows start and the option to start it minimize. Also make sure that the windows icon is hightlighted on the main settings page like in the picture below !
  6. You can always try to do a custom fan curve if the noise is not an issue for you ! I have a EVGA 1080 TI SC2 and use a custom fan curve because i use to card under heavy load for 6 to 8 hours a day. Yes the noise can be overwhelming but when using a headset it is not really an issue. You can use MSI Afterburner to do !
  7. No worries with the temps on the reference cards. Low 80's is perfectly fine and not to worry about !
  8. Thanks for the help guys ! i was able to OC the CPU to 5,0Ghz with a Vcore of 1.32 and the temps stay in the mid 70ish when stress testing. Played BFV all night yesterday without crashes or stability issue and the max reading on HW Monitor and FPS monitor was 74c, but when playing the average temps where in the high 60 ! Thanks again y'all
  9. Yes a new motherboard should do it ! Next time you want to update the BIOS (only update if needed) try doing it via the flash utility in the BIOS directly using a USB drive ! Updating BIOS should only be used when facing issue with the system or when having new component !
  10. Will do tonight after work and post result tomorrow or wednesday depending on how much time i have to mess with the OC again ! Thank you very much !
  11. I know what SVID is used for but can you elaborate on why it's important to turn it off (disable) when doing OC and manuel Vcore voltage ?
  12. Thanks after a lot of research of OC i had the same conclusion but since i had no other experience with Coffee Lake was not sure if this was average or above average just thought the Vcore was low for 6c/12t at 1,19
  13. Where is the option for the power limits on a Asus Prime z370-A mobo just to be sure and avoid me going into research mode for this lol
  14. alright it's done already i believe when i OC at 47 my buddy who has way more XP then me on overclocking show me the basic and i believe we did set the power to maximum but i'll double check tonight
  15. The max reading i get for Vcore in MW Info is 1,216 when the Vcore is set to manual at 1,19 in the bios !
  16. Sorry for the maybe stupid question but when you say power limit to maximum you mean in the bios right ? Because everything else is done for the power in Windows
  17. I left LLC on default setting for my current OC ! Should i change something for 5ghz or higher Vcore ? Only thing i did was disabling the Intel C-State last year when going threw the process.
  18. Will do and post result tonight after work ! Thank you good sir !
  19. It's been 1 year since all the testing was done but i used CB R15, 3dMark for both GPU and CPU and stress test using OCCT and Aida64 without any crashes at 1,19Vcore. Never tried higher then 4,7Ghz so kinda curious to see if i'll be able to get there ! EDIT : I use both MW Info or monitor and FPS Monitor (steam software) for in game monitoring
  20. I'm aware of that but was curious about maybe an average Vcore for the i7-8700k ! I was suprised when i stabilize my 4,7Ghz on all cores at Vcore 1,19 and thought the Vcore was too low but never had a BSOD or stability issue so i left it on this setting for almost 1 full year now
  21. Thanks will try this when i get home from work tonight ! i know every chip is different (sillicon lottery) but what are the temps under heavy load at 1,32 looks like ?
  22. Hi y'all ! So right now my i7-8700k is OC on all cores to 4,7Ghz with Vcore set at manual on 1.19. Running smooth no problem with that but i want to OC close or at 5,0Ghz on all cores and was looking for the baseline for the Vcore at this frequency. What am looking for is a baseline where i can start from and adjust if the temps or stability has issue ! Right now with the all cores at 4,7Ghz the temps are in the mid 60's when under heavy load. The ambient temps in my room is quite good since i live in a basement with A/C during summer time so i'm not worried to push the CPU a bit further on frequency and voltages ! Thanks in advance y'all
  23. Sorry for the long wait with no post on the topic but the problem was CPU bottlenecking the GPU only in BFV. We refunded the RTX2070 and are now waiting to buy a new CPU from probably the Ryzen 3000 series or the 9900k form Intel. Thanks again y'all
  24. After researching the difference between exhaust and intake for a top mounted rad i'm kinda confused.... can you just explain to me why it's better to have it has an intake instead of exhaust because for me it,s kinda counter intuitive. Thanks again for your time
  25. Perfect thanks again buddy ! I'll update the post this saturday with the result for both bottlenecking on the i7 6700k and the temps before and after the fan switching sides to intake
