Both AMD and NVIDIA will try to bring something new and interesting for the Christmas season...
It will make even more sense especially if the rumors about both A and N skipping 20nm come true.

Well, let's just say we're both correct then, but sentiment VS official territorial agreement or treaty, I would go with the latter. It's like digging an old grave that has been there for a long time.
 
Let's talk about something else. The way I see it, both Russia and US will benefit from this. The Ukranians needed weapons, who are they gonna buy from? The US. On the other hand, the pro-russians will be happily supplied in arms and munitions by Russia, thus creating a proxy forces for Russia shall they need it in the future... it's the cold war with proxy soldiers all over again. But who will least benefit from this situation? Ukraine of course.. this conflict will bleed the country dry as all money will have to be spent on armament, discarding other needed aspects of the country like education, social welfare, etc. Even worse, Ukraine cannot produce their own natural gas(or some kind of oil or fuel, i'm not sure), thus they are forced to buy it from China. And who's China's greatest allies? Russia.. it's not a coincidence that Chinese rose their prices at this recent moment. Ukraine, sadly, will bleed itself dry if the situation continues. Oh yea, BTW, Ukraine's recently sworn in President is actually US's puppet, so yeah.

What these pro-russians should do is leave Ukraine and permanently migrate to Russia... see if Putin will be happy with that.

That would depend on the people in my life. I may be a shut in and I may be more of an introvert than an extrovert but I do care for people close to me and I'm kindhearted underneath my douchy keep people away appearance. if I could still make the people close to me happy or be of use to them I'd do my utmost best to keep driving forward. If I'm all alone, a burden to everyone around me and just plain alone ALL of the time, I'd probably deteriorate and eventually die.

One minute you're saying the Radeon HD 7900 cards are underwhelming and the R9 series cards aren't that great either, then towards the end you're saying maybe the 7900 series will be good or someting, and the R9 series is impressive as usual? I'm not sure what you mean at all.
 
The R9 290X does beat out the GTX 780, mostly because of memory bandwidth/VRAM. On the other side of the coin, I feel as though Hawaii was rushed to the table because AMD had nothing prepared and didn't want customers to wait ages to upgrade, thus causing people to go with NVidia on the high-end enthusiast market. The first bit about NVidia is why I think the TITAN line of GPUs really stood out or why they were even developed/sold. If it weren't for that, I don't see why the hell NVidia would've produced them at all.
 
 
I have no knowledge about the 800 series of cards coming from NVidia but at this point I think they're redesigning the PCB layout and/or shroud, or are having issues with firmware/drivers. Something relatively unimportant compared to full-on chip production issues or whatever, but will still slow down the release. Regardless of production stalls or problems happening, I am assuming they want the late 700 cards to last a bit longer. Keep in mind the 780Ti only just came out, really. And then there's the whole features thing that comes along with AMD's next generation. AMD can probably push out new GPUs tomorrow and people would be more inclined to buy them despite the R9 series being so new because only 3 GPUs are a new architecture and AMD already has a massive feature set coming with the next generation. Although we don't know what NVidia has prepared for the GTX 800s, we can safely assume there's nothing really groundbreaking about what benefits NVidia cards will have over AMD.
 
AMD just so happened to have released support for A-sync for all GPUs that support Mantle, so NVidia doesn't even have the G-sync edge on the next generation which truly wasn't much to begin with after the info put out about "freesync". The reason why it's a big deal is because, like Mantle, A-sync will actually be locked to AMD video cards at first (or indefinitely, who knows). Even worse for NVidia, DirectX12 is confirmed to be supported for the next generation of cards from AMD as well. Lastly, there's lots of rumors about this stacked RAM stuff on AMD's next graphics cards, which I don't actually know anything about but from what I had read on LTT, it's supposed to make VRAM much better/faster and less important in the future (i.e. not needing to expand VRAM amounts from high-ends of 2GB > 4GB > 6GB > etc. anymore).
 
So yeah, NVidia has a lot of issues to sort out before they can release 800-series video cards in my opinion. Otherwise, they're gonna have to dump them like they've developed GK110.5 architecture cards and work on the 900 series for 2016 ASAP, hoping they have massive performance gains in either generation to make up for their setbacks. The only thing I (and maybe others) are looking forward towards with the GTX 800s is the possibility of fully unlocked cards and/or great overclocking purely due to power efficiency, which only stems from the 750Ti. That's by no means something you should expect for all cards as the 750Ti is a relatively weak video card. I don't see why the GT vs GTX branding even exists, X50 cards from NVidia are basically as low as you can go for a slightly enjoyable experience when gaming.

Just to add to this, they lay out all of their O.C. settings in their benchmarks, everyone is capable of replicating (approximately) the results for their own use.

Well, if you play that card then everybody wouldn't really know what to say. It's just that not everyone has an infinite or that much amount of money to spend. But in terms of personal affection, I do know where you are coming from. If you have the money, just do it I guess.
